Quote from Chunkyyou download an irc program (you have to sort that out yourself/noob filter)
then you go to #quakenet and /stickpage
Quote from StrunGWrong. The IRC was active on 4 separate occasions over the years and was very active for a few months each time. I always see people like you that were there right when it started to die down saying "the irc sucked blah blah no one was ever on", but you weren't there when there were 30+ people on.
Agreed. I had some of my funnest internet times on the stickpage IRC. Mainly because the core group of people that were there were actually people that I liked and were somewhat interesting (ie. 52xM, stuff, alive, cosmonaut, etc). I don't know if it would be as fun with the general population, because the new "regulars" in the chat thread are all pretty annoying.
The forum-based chat could be a good idea, but if it doesn't work out, there's really nothing wrong with the IRC channel.

And there's plenty of members who are worthy of being allowed into the chat with under 500 or 200 for that matter. People such as Ashlander, alive, sonoya, floydyboy, etc.
Quote from FloydyboyMaybe we could have a mod watching it 24 hours a day. That could work.
