Regarding that thread, Hinthunter just posted there. And even tho it was a but harsh I agree with him. Tho keep an eye on it, I don't want that post to become a whole argument about being lazy and whatnot.

Hey guys. About Jutsu making a scene, I'm talking to him on Steam right now. I'll try and get him to settle down. Let's keep this from escalating unless he chooses to keep harrassing Caelo, in which case I s'pose infractions would be okay.

I hate when he vents his problems out by harassing people. It's so rude and dumb.

Did I miss something important?

Alright. Here's what seems to be the problems:
1. Jutsu had been quiet about Caelo from the start despite knowing she was making up stories. He should have settled it right away, but instead he balled it up till he finally had enough and made way too angry of a response. Now, this was caused by problem #2

2. He says the forum is being turned into a big hugbox. Now I don't mean that it should be okay to say whatever venom-coated words we want. Jeff made his huge post about why that's really bad, and I agree with it. But I also kind agree with Jutsu that we shouldn't rush in to warn anyone that posts their disagreement or anger towards what another user says. This is actually kind of important sometimes. Instead of making everyone shut their mouths and ball it up when they see dumb stuff (because this seems to have led to Jutsu's snapping on Caelo), conflict can create positive stuff too. It settles things between members and it can even lead to beneficial discussion.

I think we could use a basis on what's fine and what's not. It would help a lot to hear what Jeff thinks too about how much allowing conflict is fine.

I don't think it should be allowed for people to just fly off the handle like Jutsu did though. There are ways of calling people out on their bullshit respectfully, or at the very least in a non agressive fashion. I don't exactly want this place to become a "hug fest" but at the same time it would do it some good to become a little less tolerant of blatant assholery, and this is coming from someone who quite enjoys those kinds of displays. I mean, I'm pretty laid back so I just find it funny most of the time, or I just ignore it, but it's very apparent that the majority isn't like that. A lot of the users we have here are pretty sensitive to this kind of stuff (Jeff included) and it's genuinely offputting to them anf I can understand why. The problem with this place as it is right now isn't the fact that people disagree, it's how they disagree; often times with flames at the tips of their tongues.

For example, (I'm not going back to find these posts, too much work) Nish let loose on Setto about his "shitty family" during a discussion in which Setto brought up the fact that he had multiple tvs broken by his siblings up to this point. I don't think that should be allowed, the way Nish went about it was plain insulting mostly, and if it had been anyone besides Setto it probably would have become a whole thing.
Idk, I'm kinda rambling, but tl;dr, the rules on things like Jutsu's outbursts should be stricter, and just because they dusagree with something, it doesn't give them the right to completely rip into someone

Yeah, Nish was a case of what shouldn't be allowed. He flew off the handle for very little provocation.

Jutsu was a case of not being allowed to call Caelo on her bullcrap in a less hostile manner earlier, or else he'd risk an infraction or warning. Then it sat there and balled up until he exploded

You can call people out without being hostile though
just because he couldn't bring himself to not be an asshole doesn't mean that when he couldn't take it anymore being an asshole was justified
I've talked about how caelo is full of shit on multiple ocassions while stil keeping it casual.
