The fact that he recognizes that it can't be compressed and that seemingly insignificant characters are in fact key to the story AND that he doesn't want anything to be added to stretch out the story makes me think it will be a great adaptation. This doesn't feel like an easy cash grab, and I doubt Urasawa would let people fuck this up seeing as he was being a hard ass about giving permission for this.

It's by the same guy who made 20th Century Boys and it's pretty damn solid, and it's a bit more fun if you're at least somewhat familiar with Astro Boy (although this isn't necessary at the slightest). It's also pretty short, so you should have plenty of time to read it.

I'm balancing this with keeping up with Summer anime, practicing Smash, playing Lost Odyssey, and life at once. It doesn't sound like it, but it's very time consuming.

Just finished Bleach ep. 60. Can't wait to finish the whole series.
