It could have been good if they had just realized that and instead only done the common arc, or focused on 1 girl.
So much phenomenal Yuuji humor was missed. *Sniff*
Makes me not wanna watch the second season, and I probably won't before they translate the moonrunes for the 2nd novel.

Yeah, I'm definitely not going to watch the second season
(didn't know there was going to be one honestly)
That first season was too much of a disappointment. Like, when a character is killed off (for real, or otherwise) and I just honestly couldn't care less either way, you've definitely fucked up
the art style was nice though I guess, it at least had that going for it
I might just pick up the VN since I kinda want to see why so many people like it. Maybe I'll appreciate it more coming away from that awful adaptation

So I just finished re-watching From the New World and I'm still not sure if it's best described as tragic or disturbing.
It's been proven that the most effective way of fighting terrorism is with moe. It's science.

Fuck, I was going to suggest that we should all watch (or re-watch) From the New World together after True Tears, but nvm.

Speaking of rewatching, I recently reread Liar Game because the last few days just waiting for the final arc to end, disillusioned my flow and objectivity. I can now fully disagree with Drone that the main characters were flat as a board all the way through and despite having nothing but games in every arc, there was in fact a subtle build up and growth. You became invested with these people. In fact there were pieces of minor information shared and brought up from several chapters back. The characters and games evolved alongside each other as the manga went on. I've yet to finish the manga fully so I'll let you know if it really was a cop-out or not.

lol that was me not Drone who said that Hewitt
And I still retain the fact that they were pretty flat. I never said there was absolutely no development, and I always agreed with the sentiment that there existed very subtle pieces of character development.
That being said, the core characters generally had very consistent personalities when through very minor changes. I'm not saying it was bad, this kind of development I feel was a nice and subtle way of doing it for the kind of story like Liar Game. The characters just weren't round.

I'd be down
I'd also be rewatching this, but jormungand has a sweet soundtrack

I'd be cool with Jormungand too, but I capped my internet a few days ago and have dial-up speed until my data resets, so I won't be able to download everything for about 2-3 days.

Whoa, that sounds horrible
your internet caps? Is that an Australian thing or is that just the nature of the provider you decided to go with
Feb 12, 2015 4:51 AM #1307717
I think we have the choice between getting charged heaps of money for the extra data you use of having your internet speed greatly reduced but no additional charge. But I'm not sure on the details, I wasn't living at home when we signed of for the plan and seeing as this is only the second time we've used up all our data in 4 yrs I haven't be bothered to look into it.
It's not the worst, but it is the reasons why I'm re-watching so much stuff, I've been slowly working through everything I've bought but never re-watched lol.

Is there a point in the anime where it's going to make me want to marathon it?
But seeing as how True Tears wasn't really "edge of your seat" but I still caved in, I don't know how I'll handle having to rewatch anything in an every-other-day basis.
