Windows:

  1. Most programs are developed for it
  2. Cheaper than macs
  3. Blue screen of death
  4. More viruses

Mac:

  1. Very eye candy
  2. User friendly
  3. less programs to choose from
  4. expensive

Linux:

  1. Customization
  2. Least amount of software developed for it
  3. stable
  4. Free

Conclusion:

  • Use a mac if you need a 'Eye candy desktop' and can afford it.
  • Use windows if your the average Joe.
  • Use Linux if you have the time.

thats bullshit, you faggot. you can't say the blue screen of death is a fucking feature of windows, without saying mac doesn't fucking crash occassionally. i almost never get fuckin blue screens of deaths, and if i do, its cause i was fucking with something. and hell, blue screens of deaths aren't always windows fault, it could just be you have fucked up ram

It has more to do with the workflow of Apple's OS than the hardware. I remember reading how someone switched to Mac after using Windows their whole life, and they wound up cutting hours of work per week just getting everything set up synced properly. Something about their OS is just more intuitive for large-scale production like that, I guess.

I wouldn't say that makes them more stable, just easier to work with. I absolutely agree with what they are saying. Part of the reason why I like apple is because they make a lot of shit, and they make it in-house. They effectively cut out third party middle-shit which makes everything much more seamless. Sometimes it's a miss, like I find iTunes to be a burden when dealing with the iPhone, but in instances like iCloud, AirDrop and iMessage, it's really handy. I also like how applications are packaged on OS X. No fucking registry shit, and most of the time there are no installers. Everything is in a self-contained .app which makes removal and reinstall so much easier.

"Least amount of software developed for it"

I really don't think that's true for Linux at all.

Anyway, I personally prefer using Windows or Linux as it's considerably easier to do any kind of development on that, due to there being things like the GNU compiler already available through things like MinGW. To be fair you can still develop on a Mac, but I find it quite tedious.

Your opinion. While I may prefer PC's to Mac's, you're post is in blatant disregard to the first page of this thread, which stated that exclamations such as yours are nothing but arbitrary opinion, without and backup to them; simply saying 'macs suck' is kind of pointless and certainly isn't 'end of story'.

NOW the question I want to know: which software do we like better? Mac OS or Windows?

I'm biasing my opinion from experience; My computer with windows would always crash once or twice a day but my computer with Ubuntu Linux has only crashed once since I started using it 2 weeks ago. I miss the wide variety of programs to choose from and wine doesn't cut it.

Microsoft never tries to listen to there customers and did it again by producing windows 8.

apple's mac is over priced because you get the same hardware for much less.
Linux still can't understand the fact that they will never become mainstream until everything can be done outside the command line.
Every operating system sucks in its own way. Period.

Last point to finish my rant :/

MAC:

PC:

Apple must be insane to think I am going spend an extra $1950 for nearly identical hardware.

First of all, Best Buy? Really? Are you 80 years old?

Second, those aren't even close in specs. You're looking at what, two things that are the same between them and calling it nearly identical? Uhh, look closer and then try again. Not only is that Mac Pro meant to be used as a server, NOT a personal computer (so it's geared at businesses which means it's obviously going to have a markup), but it also completely outweighs the Asus desktop you linked in almost every other specification. Better graphics, faster processor, faster hard drive, wireless keyboard and mouse, etc.

Please don't try to talk big and act like techie when you don't seem to know the slightest bit about what you're talking about.

What? Macs are relatively easy to use and reliable, and Windows OS's have never been praised for their stability.

I'm not saying all (even any) of this video is correct, but the point isn't whether what he's saying is true, it proves that many people don't see macs as reliable/stable. Maybe I'm wrong here, but most people I've spoken to seem to view macs as unstable:

Reliability and Stability is mostly about perception and usually comes down to a per-user experience. I used a Mac for work (when I worked FOR Apple) that would constantly freeze, crash, and generally be unreliable. My mom used a Mac for the internet. It never crashed. For her, it was a flawless experience, for me it was a shit one, but we were also doing entirely different things.
