Stupid cattle rancher metaphors don't actually explain any part of reality. "Look at this comparison I made up" is not an argument.

"I refuse to acknowledge anything you say because I do not like the fact that you are right" Is not an argument, you whining manchild. You do realize that with each and every "I don't understand" post you make, you are just losing more and more credibility.

The cattle rancher metaphor doesn't really make sense to me, because a cattle rancher is going to care about his cattle and their well being due to the fact that if they die or aren't perfect, they don't serve their intended purpose to the cattle rancher. He's going to do everything he can to make sure the Cattle are happy. Just because a cattle rancher has no problem with the end result of his labor doesn't mean he doesn't care about them, if that's what you're implying. Applying that to the government is like saying, "The govermnent cares about us because we serve a purpose for them, and in exchange for our well being and lively hood we give them a functioning country."

I'm sure he's talking about the kind of rancher that sells meat to McDonalds, which would actually make the metaphor even more rich.

You know the kind that feeds us hormones and all kinds of questionable substances to guarantee we're the fattest, best meat sacrifices we can be. Or the kind that buys thousands of startled mustangs off the American BLM roundups that couldn't find homes, because they're wild and terrified from being ran down by helicopters, just to butcher them and sell their meat.

Edit:Oh yeah, people who raise chickens can be extremely bad too. There's nothing right about a chicken McNugget.

"rich" doesn't mean "accurate"
There you go assuming definitions of things again, captain naive.

It does not necessarily mean that HE does care either. You do not understand because you do not want to understand. You even answer your own question.

A cattle rancher has 300 head of cattle. The cattle are his livelihood, where he derives his comforts and necessities from. Does he "care" about the herd? In a subjective sense, because his livelihood depends on them. But objectively? He sends cattle to be fucking butchered every year to pay his rent, etc etc. The rancher is the government, we are the cattle. Get it?

What if the cattle rancher happens to be related to some of the cows?

The point being that the people in government are people too.

at any rate, forcing us to try to make you understand something for 6 pages, which everybody else in the thread seems to have no problem accepting, is pretty counter productive to the original debate.
