"And Second Chances...those are the most expensive and exquisite of them all. It'll cost you an arm and a leg. Maybe more."

Has Walden put enough as a down-payment?

The Cafe's ability to use dead characters is not a cruel absolution. First the death must be at least 3 months old (death means untouched and unused in any capacity with no intent to do so.) Secondly, if the writer is still around, we would require his/her consent. Those 2 conditions fulfill Walden's crossover into the Eternal Terminus.

Ah. Then perhaps I'll be seeing the Cafe in at least 3 months' time. I was joking, though, because I used a similar line without realizing it in my battle with ErrorBlender.

Oh those conditions were mutually exclusive. You can relinquish Walden now and I can take him.

Although tbh, the tournament and life are taking up a bulk of my time. If it looks like the cafe is inactive, it isn't. Acute and I are working the tourney and doing stuff we'd rather not reveal till it's practically done.

That reminds me. When I get more time, I have to hunt down the OP characters and slay them like a psychopath killing butterflies.

I feel like this is going to be harder with Hollywood than August though...

EDIT:
OP =\= Observer Protocol
That hunt will be in a significantly different fission, with a significantly different mindset.

Theres no need to hunt down past OPhenders (c what i did thar). For too long it has been Luzoto's responsibility and he has gone missing. I'm simply transferring the rights to approve to everyone instead of pointing the obvious finger. This place needs to self-sustain, not just be led by one man.

Everyone needs to show everyone that their works matter. That's the basic principle I'm trying to preach.

Na, it's not that, it's more less I'm a huge narcissist who's convinced anything is beatable someway, and I aim to prove it.

I haven't seen a 'how dare you' one since the nuke guy from way back when.

did you know he made at least 2 more wRHGs? All OP. In fact, his current one is bordering OP and tbh I would've veto'd it if I had cared at the time. Thankfully he hasn't appeared in awhile so we're not having so much problems.

His name is kingkickass btw, and the wRHG in question is Cyber virus (yes, small v). Go check it out.

In general, if you're making a character here, you're already a competent enough writer in you're own right so OP-ness is usually unheard of unless you came to SP specifically to write and know absolutely nothing about the craft. No, people usually come here hailing from animation so in some sense they have a little knowledge thanks to the RHG system's policy on OP-ness.

We're a democracy. I declare The Strongest Political Party open.

EDIT: I've come to the conclusion that my forum-writing style is basically me just appending statement after statement to the end of my post.

So, you think it's done, but then it's not.

Or, rather, you read a thing that you would think is the nice tidying-up of the ideas, and then you look down you just see more words.

And then the end just shows up suddenly, and you're not prepared at all for it.

I don't think being overpowered is a problem... At least, not in my case. If I write about a character who wants to lose, the simplest way for him to be interesting (while still easy to write) would be with extreme OPness.

The definition of OP is very lax around here but basically it means purely that the character in question has 0 flaws and 0 means of retaliation. The nuke guy Crank was talking about for example, made a character who's basic attack was 1 nuke and who's desparation move was to suicide with 10,000 nukes. It's ridiculous. It's a character that simply no one can work with.

Making an invincible douche or an unlikeable unkillable rogue is not OP, if there is a personality flaw or a distinct characteristic that fellow writers can play with. You've seen Ashe's battles right? They always include some form of Alternate Character Interpretation which justified the way each fighter was. It made them more human, and balanced.

Is the page still here? I want to see it for myself.

I was referring to the nuke guy.
