In super mario 64 when i was like 6 or something there,s that moment where you,re in boo's mansion and there's a hallway that's really silent and alll you can hear is your footsteps in the water and that little hallway always creeped me out I wanted to get out of it as soon as possible

Man there are so many, but because Bioshock always sticks out in my head as one of the best gaming experiences I've had, I'll always remember that opening. The first time you arrive in Rapture, just after you're treated to the bittersweet beauty of a dilapidated underwater metropolis that's both enchanting and a little unsettling, your submarine sphere docks and you get the first taste of what the world of Rapture is like before you even leave the confines of the machine. I honestly had no idea what to expect from the game, and as I was still lost in the astounding setting thrust upon me I was quickly snapped back to reality as the lights flickered and had my first encounter with the citizens of Rapture. I will never forget the legitimate sense of fear I had, the words still echo in my mind thinking about it, "Is it someone new?" I envy people who can still play that game for the first time, I would give anything to experience that fresh again. What an amazing game.

I play my games late at night in the dark so these games scared the shit out of me...mainly just the parts i say
Metro 2033 the librarians the first time i tried to kill them with throwing knives...before that when i was going all stealth and i would get spotted in the middle of everyone and run behind cover to find another person

S.T.A.L.K.E.R call of Pripyat just being in this one cave (dark at shit, only a weak flashlight) with mutants and them growling and hitting me from behind to turn around and see nothing and find one jumping at me and my gun jams...Died so many times and scared as hell

Penumbra Overture just the beginning because this half dead dog was the first thing i saw and i thought there was going to be way worse things than that coming soon

Half-life 2 when my friend came up behind me with my head phones in during the part with all the poison head crabs...the game didnt scare me but my friend snuck up on me

Yeah... thats it so far

love that game, but it was mainly scary because it was so realistically difficult

Resident evil dead aim. The atmosphere in this game creates tension far better then 5 and 6 combined. Really under appreciated. I remember having this game for years and didn't touch it until either grade 5 or 6, or early in secondary school. Voice acting sucks balls though.

You can see how far the RE franchise strayed away from its horror roots.

Understanding the feeling of pursuit with Spiderman. I can never forget the tension/fear I felt.

I don't know whether it's just that I'm older now or games aren't as good as they were, but I can't seem to find the same thrills from other games. Except maybe Amnesia.

Final Fantasy 12 : Penumbra.

Okay, so this part of the game is optional. But this place is so freaky, not to mention with their strong enemies that if you stop to fight, youll die in matter of seconds. And that music...Oh my god.

Every single moment Slender Man appears behind you in TEP. It's just the loud noise that plays that always gets me.

If I recall correctly, there's a moment in F.E.A.R. 1 where something crawls towards you while you're in a vent. My flashlight died immediately after I saw the thing. My gun ran out of ammo fairly quickly after I started spraying into the dark.

Anytime I see a Jax with a skin I get scared shitless.
