I personally try to keep as close to the size as possible, if i think its off i go back to the last frame and resize it a bit.
But, someone told me to use grid so the sticks dont resize i dont get how but if it helps you by all means try it.

Draw a stickman and keep redrawing it for like 30 frames, just standing there, that should be easy to stay consitent, then try him walking or slideing across the room, and stay on size purely, you just gotta remember everything lengths.
Or
Use the grid, make a head for your stick, and see how many squares the stick covers while just standing there, now make him walk, and keep the grid around, & don't let him go above or below the grid by too much.

NO, that should be enough. Don't even try motion tweening.

k, I know this is very basic and I really sound like a nub, but I see these really good stick figure flash animations, but have no clue how to do that, I only know how to do ones with drawing each frame and they turn out terrible, can u give me the link on how to make stickfigure animations/games with Adobe Flash, it would be appreciated

Well you could try using an embeded animation, however I find this less accurate than frame by frame animation..... just expirement with different styles of animating and the most important thing you could ever do: PRACTICE!!!!

Quote from TrypheonAnything you like.
Try animating a stick walking, or running, doing jumps and stuff. The basics.
Look up some tutorials in the tutorial section.
1.We use onion skins, it's a little button in flash 2nd one next to the delete layer button.
2. Yes, Most of us redraw the stick everytime. I myself put the head in a graphic so it doesn't change size.
so I got a little better at flash, and I was wondering how to do bakground movement

yo- i know i might be "unqualified" to say this (mezanub) by to keep from resizing i just make a head then make it a symbol (F8) then drag it from my library to my animation and always turn on the onion skin it really helps and remember if he bends his legs or hunches over he moves down a bit
so i am better than most when they start buts i still nub i used both easytoon and pivot for awhile but i am new to flash and i find it easier to use!! i luvs it
but then again i had a good "mentor"

If you make your background on a different layer behind where the action is taking place, it shouldn't be too hard. Just move/redraw the parts you want...Quote from torqueso I got a little better at flash, and I was wondering how to do bakground movement
