Has anyone even mentioned how much shovelware is on the wii? The console would be dead without SSBB and Super Mario Galaxy. 3rd party developers keep finding new ways to make the potentially great gameplay suck.

I've got nothing against the wii. If the gameplay is done correctly, it can be the most addictive and fun console out there, and not all of the 3rd party developers suck. It's just a shame that it's all outweighed by tons of shovelware.

Ok in depth analysis for you:
Wii: completely different kind of console. Let's leave it out of this.
PS3:
Exclusives: It is set in stone that they have a very crappy exclusive factor compared to the XBox 360 and/or PC.

Graphics: Good, but the graphics are only there to enhance good games, something the PS3 Lacks. The graphics will eventually surpass the 360 IMO, because the 360 has had a year headstart in terms of using the console to its potential and so the PS3 is going to have a higher peak of performance.

Games: There are good games for the PS3, just not very many. Resistance is probably the best game on it right now. MGS 4 and Resistance 2 might coax me into getting one, but until then, i'm going to hope for another price drop before the games come out.

Blu Ray: This is a gaming console. Get a ****ing video player if you want to watch videos.

Online: Pretty good, and could be used very well in the event of a great online game. I think Resistance 2 will really bring the online play up to par.

Summary: The PS3 has a great line up to look forward to, but the XBox 360 has one just as good too (Gears of War 2, Halo 4 (Microsoft raked up so much money with Halo 3 that I'm sure they'll break their promise and make another one) etc.). Their graphics are equal at the moment, which means nothing because the Xbox is clearly winning right now at gameplay. PS3's online play is being pwned by Live, and i think it will remain that way until the new games start launching. Overall, it's an Xbox 360 rival in the making.

Exclusives: Very good lineup (Halo 3, Dead Rising, Gears of War(i know it's on PC, but this is about the PS3 at the moment), etc.). Their new launches seem to trail behind the PS3 a bit, but their current momentum will probably mean an extreme console war in late 08-09.

Graphics: Equal.

Games: Very good gameplay, with each hit exclusive using the Xbox to its full potential, utilizing the online feature very well. This makes the graphics worthwhile because they are set with great gameplay which makes the experience much better.

DVDs: I'll use a good quote i heard from Gamestop: "you buy a game console for the games, not the toaster oven."

Online: Simply Incredible. You can switch games seamlessly and really connect with friends much more easily than the PS3.

Summary: the current frontrunner, and with the games releases still running in full throttle, they'll probably be in for a big war with the PS3 when MSG4 and Resistance 2 come out.

PC: Owns everything, but i won't get into that.

Just a note, the first year the 360 was out, it had the same amount of exclusives as the ps3 its first year as well.

yeah, back when the Xbox 360 started out, it seemed like a stupid idea to release it early, but Microsoft learned from the Xbox that all the other console systems always have a better starting lineup, so a headstart would take that factor out.

A blue ray Hddvd player costs $200-$300 dollars alone. So you get a gaming machine and a high definition player much cheaper than the both of them cost separated.

Also, blue ray dvds can hold 25 gigs of space per side of the disc, when xbox still uses 4.4-10 gig dvds. Thats twice the amount of content on one single game disc. This is the reason lost odyssey for the xbox360 is 4 dvds long.

Remember that Sony owns Bluray. Microsoft will have to get a lisence from them to be able to use Bluray.

That's fine, but you shouldn't judge a gaming console on that. It's like if you added a microwave to a computer: ok, it has a microwave, but you shouldn't judge the computer based on it. The Blu Ray doesn't add anything gaming wise, which is the reason i buy gaming consoles.

thats separate. i haven't played the 360 for very long, but my brother-in-law has a ps3, and i own a wii.

Rachet and Clank is a bad example, it's a good series, only gladiator so far was gay.
