Anyway, in regards to the misuse of the word rape,
It's essentially the same as saying "oh, I'd destroy you" in an animation battle or, "He got murdered" in a game of basketball.
Just because the word gets used frequently out of context doesnt change or devalue the actual meaning of the word, and it certainly shouldn't make you go "hey, don't say that, murder is a serious issue" every time you hear it.
It's like me saying "damn, I feel so fat" after eating a ridiculous amount of food and my friend responding with "hey dude, not cool, obesity is a real problem"

Context is a real thing, yeah, but when a word has one meaning that is hugely more common, you can't magically dissociate it from that just because it wasn't your intention.
