Couldn't we just take that out of there entirely, and find some other method of keeping spam bots out?

Not really, thats the best method.
We just need a different one.

Well while the algorithm can be solved (Or viewed freely if you have the VB source code... Which can be found easily in most places) it's still assigned randomly.
There's no way for a computer to figure it out. People are signing up manually.

Oh lame.
Sorry i misunderstood, i thought if they knew the algorithm they could solve them :/

Oh and FrAnKeH for mod.

There is only an image verification if you sign up on the portal page. If you actually go to the forums and click register, it doesn't ask you for any kind of image verification. That might be the reason that we are getting bots.

I have a question, do we ban known Ip's that bots come from? Just to make sure they don't come back?

Well, I just of this. I think we should split the Pivot, Flash, and EZtoon Forums into 2. One for beginner's and another for non-beginner's. There are a lot of noobs who are making their own threads in the Pivot section when their anims are really crappy. That pretty much gets them flamed like hell and makes them leave the forums.

That wouldn't work. How can a noob get better if he only gets critiqued by other noobs?

Well it wasn't on the front page...
And I guess noobs can't get better that way.

That's the point I was trying to make when I was a noob.

That' because Paperclip was there to validate the suggestion before it could be put onto the first page.

I just thought of something. Someone (don't remember who it was) wanted me to start posting links to the admin responses in the first post. Technically I already do that, but I suppose I could make it more clear by changing the links from the standard numbers to an "A" or something.

Just not right now. That'd be a big headache, and after seeing some of Ash's horribly offensive, lousy posts, I'm just not in the mood to do any real work right now.

You mean, lower the fifteen character limit? I don't think that's gonna fly; it used to be ten characters.

Plus, there's ways around it, Cory. Don't let it bother you.
