View Profile I asked for them, not earned them.
Aren't people who earn infractions, in a sense, asking for them?
@alive
I don't think he can. He'd just have to wait till they expire.

View Profile He literally asked Vee Vee.
"Give me infractions."
I tought that was pretty clear. And they can't expire because those are permanent.

Oh. I thought since you asked to be banned, you got the 10 extra infractions in order to implement you banning.

No, I understood. I knew that already. I wasn't really addressing Deathwish's infractions, though. I was saying that if people purposely do stupid things on the forums, then wouldn't they, in a sense, be asking for infractions? Hell, many noobs actually try to get themselves banned, but don't outright ask for them like Deathwish. Wouldn't trying to be banned be along the lines of asking to be banned?

View Profile I think we should make the portals more user friendly. Change the layout or something.

View Profile In a figure of speech yes. "Okay, now you're asking for it!"
But it is still a difference from earning them from doing something wrong, and literally ask to get them.
Yeah, I know. I was trying to be deep, or whatever word you'd call it.

View Profile I got another:
How bout a mod-election system? I mean, all of the mods are chosen BY the mods & admanz, but that's no good governmentation, there. Why not let the forum members vote? At least, the ones that have been here long enough? I'm not saying that any of the mod choices are bad, but there are some people that I think may deserve a chance.

The admins have tried it and they didn't like the results that they got. They've already said that they aren't going to do it again.
I like tiddly's idea but I think the time should be lowered a bit instead of 20.

View Profile I was reading
this thread and I had an idea to improve the portal.
It was: Members must be granted certain privileges (by a moderator or something), before they are able to submit animations to the portal. This way, we would
a) avoid the problems NTG outlined
here, and
b) have only animations of decent quality on the portal, which, I believe, is good for business.
So what say you.
If more people used the portal we wouldn't have this problem.

This isn't a democracy. It's a dictatorship. What ZuLu says goes. He can do whatever he wants and there is nothing you can do about it. That's how a forum works. That's why there will never be any elections.
Now that I reread what I wrote it sounds really harsh. Sorry.

View Profile As far as I know, they can't be removed. So now I'm reposting my suggestion for emphasis.
I think we should make the portals more user friendly. Change the layout or something.

In what way? This suggestion is too generic. It's nothing more than: "Make the portal better." You need to be more specific. How can ZuLu make the portal better? Honestly, I can't really tell how. If anything, the members need to use the portal more. Me included.

Well, that's pretty much the premise of how a forum works.
When we get new mod replacements, he usually lets the mods vote and recomend candidates before his final choice.

Well, you said they got glitched so I removed the big one... going to get rid of the first one if that truly isn't glitched.
EDIT: Fixed. You have no infractions now.
