Iris looked down to the ground a bit of her hair was covering her eyes and when she pronounced her last words and turned around, Iris took her arm stoping her forward motion, she didn't want to lift her head "crap.... control yourself Iris... you're such a baby...", she reprehended herself as she couldn't stop a tear to slide down her face, shinning with the light of the rising moon as it rolled down to her neck. Iris pulled her back and gave her a tight hug she had her eyes closed and after a few seconds she said "...I forgive you... I hope you give me a chance to forge a relationship with you, and... just how I protect Anna or Sebastian with my life, I can asure you that I'd do the same for you" she let her go and looked up to her, "I think I never told you that I never expected your hair to be blonde" she giggled a bit.

And all of sudden... Iris's arm stopped hurting, and she could relax her whole body as Dante thank'd her. Iris stood there for a moment as Dante returned to the group and looked at the moon already up in the sky, after a few seconds she closed her eyes and thought "We all will mae it to the end... I'll make sure of that,you all have passed through so much pain my friends... you all deserve a happy life after we're finished with this war, and..." she opened her eyes and looked at everyone sleeping, "... I'm up to sacrifice everything I have for you all", she smiled and walked next to Sebastian, she sat down taking Samsom off her neck, she placed him between her and Sebastian as Iris lied her head on his chest using him as a pillow, she immeidately felt sleepy enough to close her eyes and take a rest for the rest of the night she felt safe around all of her friends... and specially next to Sebastian.

Nikolai watched as the altercation unfolded, and as Michael practically threatened to battle, his revolver was slightly further out of his pocket than previously. However, thanks to a grand save by Anna, the entire situation cooled down and went to a halt. The trio walked away, and for now the coming crisis was averted. He let out a sigh of relief and let go of his revolver, that same hand running through his hair aimlessly.

He glanced towards her, before seeing Iris out of the corner of his eye, requesting to talk with her privately. When Dante offered her Anna, the mercenary obliged, cradling her in his arms before walking towards the rest of the group. However, he stayed in the outer circle of the shelter, still a few feet away from everyone. He placed Anna back down on the grass next to him, using his trench coat as her pillow. He let out slight smile, and ruffling her blonde hair in her adorable sleep. “Goodnight, little Napoleon.”

He turned to the other side of him, and squinted his eyes through the night to see Dante and Iris from afar, and they seemed to be…hugging. He raised an eyebrow and his smile grew, knowing that whatever problem they had before must have finally been resolved. As Iris went toward Sebastian and Dante came towards him, he looked up at her as she shed her elite Fraysan armor, lying down next to him. This prompted him to sling an arm around her with Anna still just next to him. He was tired once again, for some reason, the second day in a row that he felt something…human. Maybe it was the two people around him, the ties that he had to the both of them that made him much more human than he was before. Maybe he was softening. But hey, who knows.

“You look a lot better without all of that Fraysan armor,” Nikolai said softly with a sleepy smile.

That was the last thing he said before he drifted into slumber.

The hours passed and the sun began to rise, a long time has passed since anyone has slept like this, still using Sebastian as a pillow Iris opened her eyes, she smiled seeing how everyone was also sleeping, but some of them started to wake up as well, she sat up and stretched her arms to the sky. She looked at the boy amd placed her hand on his hair, she rubed it softly and said loud enough for him to hear it "Hey....wake up you silly, we gotta move on" Iris stood up and placed her crossbow on her arm, she then waited a few minutes for eveyone to get up as well.

Sebastian stretched and got up, "Coming from the one who slept on my chest instead of the vest pillow." He stood up to have his arms flop to his sides. He shook them and shivered at the sensations of pins and needles that were pricking his sleeping arms as blood flowed back. "Oh I should've used that pillow my arms ache." He complained and Samson crawled up his front and licked his chin as a greeting.

He scratched Samson behind the ears and kissed Iris on the cheek as he walked to grab his jet pack. He strapped the jet pack on and inquired, "So did you talk to Dante?"

Samson answered for Iris, "Yes... master's... wifey.... talk... to.... bad.... woman." He summed up the two's conversation, "They.... protect.... everyone."

"Shush you, she's not my wife." He whispered then asked Iris, "You two will get along right? I mean she is our teammate."

"Yet," Samson snickered then continued, "I... no... like... woman.... she.... smell."

"She's our friend." He continued on his conversation with Iris as well as answering Samson.

"OK... still... smell." Samson concluded.

Sebastian smiled and chuckled, "At the current moment we all do." He turned to Iris, "So when're we heading out?" He asked.

Smiling Iris responded, "yeah... things between me and Dante are alright now, also If everyone is ready, I guess we can go now", looking at Michael Jason and Zero she wondered, "Would they come with us?...", Iris then waved a hand towards Michael and yelled at him, "HEY!!, Will you guys come North as well?".

Michael nodded towards her as he picked up his sniper rifle and slung it over his back.

Mason slowly opened his eyes as people were talking. He picked himself up and scratched his head... why did his mind feel so vacant? It seemed like he couldn't think the way he used to. Was it just because of the events that had happened inside his own mind? or was it something else? He decided it wasn't worth it, but he still could barely remember what they were supposed to be doing. Michael stated something about Fraysan scum, which he guessed meant they were going to kill the fraysans. As he pulled his hands down from his head he remembered that he had some telekinesis powers. He didn't want to hurt himself just making that sad excuse of a wave he made when fighting Yoosa, he wanted to be able to lift things like he did when his body was taken over. He didn't know how he would make his powers stronger, if it was even possible, but he decided to pick up a rock and he fiddled with it, swinging it around and juggling it in front of him with his mind as he joined up with the group.

"Sounds perfect!" Iris replied to Michael, and then turned her head to Sebastian as she started to move forward "Shall we get moving?, I'll go front I'll let you know if anything moves in the distance". As she started to walk she passed by Mason who was playing with a rock using telekinesis, "I didn't know you could to that Mason, it should come in handy sometime", she smiled at him and continued her way looking at her crossbow once more to check that everything was ok before looking at her surroindings.

The group traversed across the hilly landscape. The gentle rolling mounds of earth slowly growing taller and rockier. Soon they were surrounded by mountains. They were in a small rocky pathway with large mountains rising up on either side of them, giving them a very claustrophobic feeling. Up ahead a sign could be seen with a fork in the road.

The sign had a simple noun on it, a sort of taunt to the survivors proclaiming the name of the area.
Steelrend Pass.

"Guys... I don't like the idea of this. If we walk in there we could be pinned down by fraysans. It doesn't seem safe at all. Maybe we could climb the mountains?" Mason looked around, slowly realizing not everyone had claws or wings. "Or maybe Sebastian and I could go up, to scout ahead or something?" Mason watched for signs of approval or denial from his team mates.

"I bet you'll just see endless cliffs and a long chaon of mountains... I think we just have one option..." Iris took Sebastian's hand and gulped, she then whispered to him "I don't have a good feeling... but... we don't have another choioce...".

Afraid of steping forwards, Iris lifted her foot and made a single step before stoping completly, it felt like if something was pulling her back and she felt fear... Iris looked back at her mates like if her eyes wanted her friends aprooval about going into the path.

"I doubt anyone else can climb those mountains anyway."
I slowly slumped my shoulders back up as i inhaled quietly, bringing my hammer up with my left and hooking it on my right shoulder with ease.
I was standing behind my old friends and new comrades for too long. I thought quickly when we took a good minute to read that sign. Iris's point was made clear. No other option...
I took a good first step with my left, walking slowly towards the sign in the middle of the split road.
Turning around to face the group, i ask, "Right or Left?"
