That's 350 words a week, like I said a year from now it would be very impressive if he really memorized the majority of these words.

I just went to google because i was too lazy to do it in my head. But if he were to actually memorize strict definitions of 50 words a day for an entire year. That'd be close to 18.3k words[18,300] . (For those who don't know, K is also used for thousand... I think...)

But this only applies when you're trying to memorize things quickly (for example all digits of the phone number). So basically there's not enough time and repetition to move first digits to the long term memory so usually you're left with the ending numbers that are still in the short term memory. But if you were given like 5 minutes to memorize a 10 digits combo you should have no problems there.

Also I'm someone who will forget things randomly, or remember something to eventually forget it. So i could never memorize 50 words a day xD

Ye, that's what I was trying to say in my earlier post. Last year we did an experiment to test this theory out with some variations, like adding a distraction at the ending so that everything from your short memory would be gone and you would only remember the few numbers that by the help of repetition managed to get into your long term memory and it actually worked, the mean of my personal scores were 6 numbers remembered correctly under normal circumstances
