By that, I mean, I believe what he says might go against this new-age Islamic thinking that we should take what we feel is right from the Quran and conveniently ignore the rest. But I have no doubt that this guy believes that what he says is based on Quranic evidence as much as you believe that what he thinks is irrelevant. But we don't need to get into another Islamic debate.

I could totally debate on this, but I don't feel like it.
There was a recent much milder Earth quake in Egypt as well.

I just sent money, stoves and some clothes to Nepal. Hope it'll reach people who really need them.

Man I still have no money that I actually worked for and have no idea what it feels like to actually give charity.

During the 2004 tsunami, I had no money either so my brother and I gave our old clothes and donated food rations, water bottles and anything we had that could have helped in some way.

Yes thats how it worked in my house too until we found out there was a goddamn Tsunami and people were now without homes, clothes or food. Our maid acquiesced to breaking the clothes-handing-down protocol.
