I'm actually planning to buy a Sennheiser headphone as my Steel Series left headphone died after 3 years(Rest in peace). Although, I'm having a tough time choosing between these two:

1.) PX 80 Foldable
2.) HD180

The prices for both are more or less 20 USD. This is how far my budget can go. Can you guys tell me which one I should go for?

Just looked up beats earphones. They're like $67, Drone wtf that's an even bigger rip-off than I expected.

when people buy beats they're basically paying for the look / fashion, no one who cares about sound quality buys beats.

It's the epitome of buying for brand.

Beats earbuds are pretty exclusive to overly rich hipsters who are scared of saving money.

Well yeah, I bought them because they're beats lol

i'd lean towards the first pair. the frequency response range is wider so you'll theoretically get a richer sound quality. i've also owned a pair of hd180s before; the body is made entirely of hard plastic, so they can break easily. it looks like the body of the px 80s has metal parts which you can bend a bit if necessary to fit your head better, which is something you'll be grateful for if they're too tight.

having said that, i'm not an expert on headphones at all. i suspect exilement might know better than i would.

nah. I've only ever used grado sr60i's and akg k701 headphones so they're all I can recommend. apparently grado discontinued the sr60i which sucks, you couldn't find better cans for $79.

Hailing Maries, full of graces, my hollowing body is not ready ever.

I haven't even gotten to the DLC areas in DS2.

They're by far the best areas.

This is probably the most complete guide I've found that's all about headphones for those of you wanting to look into it but don't know where to start. It even provides recommendations depending on what your needs are. One thing I've found lately is that you'll never have the "best" set of headphones, as it's practically impossible for a set of headphones to excel at everything. Generally you'll get headphones that are better for certain types of audio, or headphones that are tuned to be all-around good but not as good at any one thing. So for me it's not really a matter of finding the "best" set of headphones it's about finding the ones that suit my needs more. I would spend far more than I should on headphones if I had the money.

Well, might as well go full Dark Souls nerd while the topic's present:

Because it's past midnight and I barely make sense anymore (Click to Show)

I also played DS1, except I used no multiplayer support due to Windows Live and such.
