Really? I play league once and a while, and I don't find it addicting. I'd rather play CS:GO.

90% of all MMOs have the same problem that makes me not want to step in that area. It's why I quit playing ESO. They are fun for the most part though.

What, they require you to be able to make friends in order to fully enjoy them?

I find CS:GO too competitive, or the fact that I completely suck at it. I play TF2 and HOTS (noob's version of MOBAs such as Dota and LoL) instead.

Haha nice! No my problem is MMOs either have no final payments (they require monthly payments or memberships). When they do have final payments then they add dlc over and over and in order to keep up with friends you HAVE to buy the dlc. I'm going to quote angry Joe for this one "buy the dlc it's essential".

If the MMO doesn't have in game purchases like that then they take an extensive amount of time to gain anything (warframe for example). And sometimes they have in game purchases that cost way too much for the purpose of "speeding things up". What do you guys think is worse? Spending $100 to get something instantly that you could have worked for, or working in the game for a month to achieve the same result? In my opinion you either wasted your money or you wasted your time but the value of ones time is up to them.

If I can purchase an MMO with good quality, no required membership, 2-3 modestly priced dlc and free updates every now and again to keep the game relevant with new content, and it doesn't take me a month of dedicated time to reach a good position where me or my character has enough strength and influence to have some significance amongst other players then I am all for it.

Looking at what I just said that game sounds like a fantasy that will likely never (no time soon or one exists but it's simply not my genre) happen and I'm being too picky.

But yeah

Summarization~ the average MMO requires too many payments or too much time to reach a good position considering how much the games themselves are actually worth.

Give it time. I've never played a dark souls game before (where have I been huh?) and after about 2 days time I've got pretty much everything figured out. You will almost never defeat a boss your first time on your first play through (except for one
the boss name (Click to Show)
) <- I beat him my first try because he's slow and simple. He only has one ability that kills you faster than you can say "oh shit" but he never hit me with it until I helped my friend out.

Just figure out what weapons suits you best, figure out what stats make that brand of weapon better, and then build yourself around that. If you're using a sorcerer build I just have to say until there is an update to buff them or you use good teamwork "you're gonna have a bad time". To make my build amazing I need to find a Kitana based around Dex. That allows my right hand weapon to use its weapon art while I'm holding the Kitana but the Kitana needs to be able to swing as well rather than block so that I can switch from heavy damage to quick attacks without swapping weapons or having to withdraw my right or left hand.

I've only played an MMO about once and got to those mid-high levels (around 60). Personally I didn't mind the ones who did pay their way through. It's their money afterall. Also in a way, they've grinded for it too since money isn't free.

Ah, to want it all. Also, why do you continue to spell it "kitana" rather than "katana?" Are you looking for a lady to use as a weapon? Even for for the Souls series, that's a bit, eh, dark.

Yeah it does make sense when you put it like that but when you look at what you're actually gaining for $____ or ____ weeks it just doesn't seem worth it.

I'm already lv. On dark souls 3 and it took me 3 days of actually playing it to reach this point. I don't know what the lv cap is but I think my friend said he reached 107 on his first character. I think 100 is the basic level up cap but you can gain 5 free levels from a special someone and I don't know where he got the other 2. I also didn't ask him if that was the highest he could go.

I think most MMOs need to know what they are worth and not put out these over priced packages to get through the game quicker or get rid of that option and reduce the time to get these things that aren't worth the wait. (This is also why I don't play app games more than a day that have $100 packages because you know it's a rip off)

Because my phone recognizes mortal kombat characters first before a Japanese weapons that has existed before the concept of electronics was a thing. Katana katana Kitana Katana. One in 4 of my katanas translates to Kitana.

Would I use her as a weapon? Well she is "quick and easy" to use.

I'd like her to be my "way of blue" assistant and invaders who come is just see her and they pause long enough wondering what's going to give me a killing strike.

Who wants to hear the hilarious story of when I first got invaded? It involved a lot of quick thinking and a stamina ring and shield. I had way too much fun.

I suck at bosses from DS 3, like seriously yo wtf, I just started and then this hella huge ass boss was starting to appear when I'm about to die.

And then when I tried to go into a cave (I think that's it), this ratatouille rat came out of nowhere.
