We are debating whether or not the changes are acceptable. Come back here and tell us if hes OP
Alright, so I decided to swoop back to the first page, check up on the abilities and weaknesses and must admit that this is just outright ridiculous.
Yes, we have some particularly strong fighters. Venox, Omega, perhaps even Wyvern once I get him where I want him, but eh, you did quite overdo it on this one if you'd ask me, especially considering the fact that his weaknesses aren't particularly balancing out his incredible over-the-top power (He's certainly not a glass cannon).
Let's start off with the basics. Murphy is at the total maximum of human potential. Stop right there, that's more than enough already. Your character doesn't need to be stronger than this as he's already outclassing nearly every other fighter in every category imaginable. Just to name a few, he'd be outclassing those that specialize in their trump ability; He'd be faster than Wyvern, tank harder than Omega, aim better than Kodi, hit harder than (*insert any character that hits like a brick*) etc.... You get my point.
Well, as you wanted to improve on that even further, let me continue to point out the other things that practically make him overpowered.
Can manipulate light? Mkay cool let's take a look at it :
-Invisibility : NOPE
-Lasers? : No thanks.
-Duplication images? : Eh sure. Why not make him able to instantly destroy his opponent while you're at it? Oh wait...
-Ability to spawn any weapon at will : Oh I'm sure that combos well with him being the physical incarnation of a Greek God. Also, what keeps him from instantly replacing the weapon that's been destroyed by any projectile
stronger than an arrow? (Should also note that there's only a few characters around who use projectiles that are tougher than arrows).
-Lights out : So you're telling me that on top of being able to spawn like a trillion projections of himself, then going invisible, he's capable of just turning the entire area dark.. So basically, he doesn't even need to be there to beat his opponent, as he'll just kill himself eventually, right? Again, you state that he can only do it for 30 seconds, and from there what keeps him from immediately doing it again? Oh wait, he gets tired. I'm sure he can keep going for a few days before he'll eventually get too tired to do it though, considering his physique.
-The healing thing : Dark Souls bosses are pussies compared to the game-boss you'd be.
-The entire morph form, all of the abilities and "weaknesses" that come with it :
Aight, so now that we have that out of the way, let's look at what can be changed.
First of all, while all of these abilities fit into the theme of light manipulation, it's just plain ridiculous to throw them all together like this in a completely overpowered manner like this. Basically, Murphy has achieved master light-manipulation status as he's able to just do all this shit flawlessly. Clearly, he's not lacking experience when it comes to his powers is he? Invisibility alone could be on par with telekinesis and time-manipulation as the most overpowered abilities they are. (For your information, any master of telekinesis or anyone capable of completely halting time, even be it for a limited time, are capable of ending the battle before it even begins). Add to that the ridiculous amount of additional abilities, strengths and ludicrously unnecessary weaknesses.
So on top of that, he has no clear weakness that can be manipulated by his enemies, and he's basically capable of out-tanking anything they fire at him. You're past Deadpool-level of overpowered there, and Deadpool is practically one of the most obscenely overpowered characters in fictional history (Well, any human-like that is. Yes yes, I know Cthulu is able to destroy reality with a thought...).
There's just simply too much to remark on, and even with slight and big nerfs you won't get there. My advice? Scrap what you have right now, start again from the bottom, and think of what you're looking for in your character. Looking to keep light manipulation? Okay that's cool, but remember that one must always maintain a good balance between their character's adeptness with their ability, and their physical abilities.
For example, you have this really big muscular dude who'se capable of bashing your skull in with one punch. That's okay, but then don't have him move at the sound of speed as well. You can see the guy having some kinda rock-manipulation ability? That's cool, just don't overdo it. Keep it standard, and realize that your character's main strength is already present, so any additional abilities do not necessarily have to be on a similar strength.
Wyvern, for example. The guy's fast as hell, has spot-on reflexes and is capable of tearing you up with blades that are capable to slice clean through concrete, but at the same time he's hesitant to use such power as he's reluctant to kill, and his mind is fucking with him. His main strategy? Don't get hit, and win. Ofcourse, that never proves as easy as it sounds, as he's still dependent on luck, his surroundings, his opponent's expertise and his own ability to keep his mind focused. There's nothing wrong with your character being slightly overpowered, but back it up with subsequent weaknesses, a strong backstory and never overdo the amount of abilities.
Keep the main attribute you had in mind close at heart when developing the character, for example, when I made Wyvern I wanted someone who relied on speed and wit more than he did on heavy hitting, endurance or anything of the sorts. Then I had some second ideas, certain abilities to give him that distinct tag that sets him apart, though I realized that giving him full dominion over these abilities would be unnecessary as his speed and reflexes alone are a big trump-card over most other fighters. Thus I decided to keep those abilities for a later day, so that I could properly balance them out, think of suitable additional weaknesses and character developments. (These abilities have not yet been implemented but as some may have noticed that won't be taking too long as I teased it in my character profile, to the annoyance of Waffles, I'm sorry honey 3; )
So yeah, scrap what you have now, start from the bottom with a clear goal in mind (Light manipulation, I assume) then think of creative powers that give him diversity, strength, yet do not overpower him. Everyone has their favorite weapon/move, so hone that one to be particularly stronger than the others, then have the remainder of the strengths at a subsequently weaker state, as they are more situational. Then come up with fitting weaknesses to balance it all out. Good luck ;)
PS : Are you pleased, Hewitt-Senpai?
