No haha I went to bed.

"This colony is burning, doctor. I suspect you know this and realize it far deeper than you are letting us know. You are looking at the fire fighters. I cannot tell you the name of the man we work for because while I trust a man like you, I do not trust everyone who lurks here. All you need to know now is that a VERY vital ingredient that makes up the CURE for the vile disease that is plaguing this city is lying on this stretcher bleeding out. You can either save her or let her die. But if she dies, then this city dies with her."

I'm not going to fucking help you unless you tell me who you people are.

"We aren't fans of people who dump into waterways and give children cancer," CT grumbles, seemingly annoyed at being ignored. "But I suppose telling that to a clear supporter of Adrian Hass is pointless, huh?"

OOC: I am quickly failing to see the point of maximum charisma if it isn't capable of convincing a doctor to cure a dying patient, regardless of who he thinks we're working for.

ooc: All you have to do is play along dood. It adds depth to the role-playing and just because he's dragging it out a bit doesn't mean it isn't working. The fact that there's conversation now rather than us being told to fuck off is better, and you don't have to tell him who we are probably since you have max charisma.

OOC: Yeah thats what I was hoping the first 100 posts of this conversation but I'm losing hope. But here goes.

Veeran wasn't giving up on this. Not just yet. The revelation about who they are could put the entire plan through the wringer. They couldn't take any chances, given how many of Adrian's men were looking for him. Veeran wasn't even a big fan of Calvin revealing Adrian's name to the doctor, but bit his tongue.

"Are you telling me that you would let a woman die, doctor, because the men surrounding her look like thugs? Is this how you looked on when children died? Because you didn't like the look of the men with them? Are one of US bleeding out? No. This woman is. Are you telling me that knowing our identity is more important than your job? Maybe I was wrong about you. Maybe you get off on watching innocent people die, just like the scum in this city?"

OOC: I don't like the way Azure is just blatantly giving off information about our cause when I feel it is unnecessary.

Roth wasn't really paying attention, he was just drinking from his flask to even his mood out a bit while staring around at all the medical staff. A few minutes went by and Roth started to get annoyed at the fact that Veeran and Dr. Dickweed were kiling his buzz with their arguing while the hot russian chick was bleeding out. "I've got a fantastic fucking idea. Why don't we talk after you help our friend out since that's sort of an urgent matter right now? If she doesn't pull through I can promise you she won't be the only dead body amongst us."

"No, I--"

The doctor licked his lips and glanced at Victoria's wounds, assessing them.

"just tell me who the fuck you people are. I want to trust you people, but I've been fucked before."

He walks over to Victoria and pulls her towards an attendant.

"I'll be taking her. Him too--" He says, pointing at Adrian.

"But you're staying here."

OOC: Adrian Hass is some superpac guy that isn't politcally significant. I'm sure you meant Tolemsky, the opposition leader, but this is a hospital, I'm not sure you're asking the right question.

OOC: Get ninja'd bitch. Nish, you should just ask the doctor some bull shit so his answer can prove whether or not we can trust telling him who we're with since you can perception check him. At the very least bad guys will just take him and we'll have to Mick him up.

OOC: The reason I'm doing this is because I'm not going to Charisma check everything you say. You've got to play along, and when I ask you a question, your charisma will come into play.

Like yeah, you can convince a cop to leave you alone easy. But when I RP the police chief, I'm not letting you roll out of that one.

Veeran got off his wheelchair and plopped himself on a chair in the hospital and pushed his wheelchair away.

"I will make a deal with you, doctor. I am staying right here, as a sign of trust. We won't interfere, we won't meddle. We want our friends saved. Thats all. Ask yourself, who really is the bad guy here? I sit here before you, a cripple begging a doctor to save the life of his friend. Am I truly the villain?"

OOC: Perception Check on Doctor. I was under the impression that it was passive so Cook would keep doing it. Cook, I want to know exactly what his reaction is when I tell him that I will be helpless to run away, should he try to screw me over.

The doctor runs his hands through his hair and wipes his face.
"Fucking jesus christ."
He sighs.
"Look, I'm going to save your friend. Like your chef buddy said, I took an oath. Not to your fucking lives, but to humanity in general."
He wipes his face again. He's clearly going between several patients in worse condition than Victoria, many of which are children.

Veeran stares into the man's eyes, and notices that he's very conflicted. As much as he'd like to help the girl, he has a feeling it'll end badly; that the person he's saving is another criminal with delusions of grandeur.

"I'll have my temps take care of her. But you will all tell me what is going on. After this last rally, the crime's been spiking up, and we're going to talk about that."

"I know you are worried about the children. We all are. May I show you something?"

Veeran took out his wallet and unraveled a list of photographs. They were all photographs of him with children at various stages of his life and theirs.

"No one in this colony is more concerned about the children here than I am, doctor. I have dedicated my life to making sure that their life does not fall into a life of crime. This woman here is one of the keys to ensuring that this city doesn't fall deeper into the grasp of Tolemsky, the Red Dragon and every other scum that has put children six feet under to fill their pockets with cash."

Veeran looked again at the doctor as passively as he could.

"I cannot tell you who we are doctor. But I can discuss anything else you want with you, about crime here or otherwise. I can tell you anything you want to know except the men who hired us. Like I said, I do trust you, but I do not trust these walls. The key to ridding this city of scum is to keep it under wraps, and you don't look like a man selfish enough to demand that an entire plan be exposed just to satiate your curiosity."

OOC: No, I meant Adrian. I didn't mention Tolemsky because that would reveal we're part of the opposing side's faction. The PAC leader responsible for causing cancer would likely be of more concern to a doctor who clearly has an interest in protecting children, similar to Veeran's initial reactions to hearing how Adrian was causing such. Tolemsky isn't directly responsible for it. In response to Arch, Cal is quite understandably shaken and pissed, both at seeing people die unnecessarily from the kidnapping, watching Mick die in front of him, and having his fingers shot off. Adrenaline is loosening his lips somewhat, but note, he hasn't actually revealed any information about their group or who they work for. He's simply given vague descriptions of what occurred and their motivations. It makes them seem more like a vigilante group, rather than a political hit group.

Dimly, Victoria was able to make out muted murmurs of the conversation going on between Veeran and the doctor. Everything was blurry and spinning slowly, moving no matter how hard she tried to lock her eyes to focus on one thing. But still she could see that he was arguing passionately. For her, and for her life. The simple fact of the matter made her feel something warm and bright that she hadn't felt in a very long time, and although she couldn't pick up most of what was being said, she still weakly reached out an arm to try to get the doctor's attention.

"He used to work at a hospita
l too." She managed to croak, oblivious to what had already been said. "Veeran is a good man. There aren't many of those anymore." She wanted to say more, but talking was more exhausting than she remembered it being. Instead, she closed her eyes and tried to fight the spinning world all around her, hoping that she had at least helped a little bit.

The man blinked, looked back at the pictures, and blinked again. He covered his face with his hands and let out a shuddering sigh.
"I'm just so fucking tired. I'm just exhausted. It's becoming a war out here. The gangs and drug dealers are going crazy out there. I haven't slept in days."
Reminding himself with his last statement, the man reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, red bottle.
Fireball
Loaded with amphetamines and caffeine, Fireball, when taken, allowed the user to skip an entire night of sleep. It worked well, but any college student could attest to the toll it took on the body.
His bloodshot eyes closed, and the color from his face flushed, and reset. He opened his eyes.
"I'll help you out. I'll take your wounded and cure them. Fuck. Tolemsky promised us this was a green zone too."

Nish is trying to defeat that stereotype.

Also, he wouldn't know who adrian hass is. Adrian has nothing to do with the children, he manages the finances and exploits loopholes, which results in children with cancer.

TL:DR
Doctor doesn't know who Adrian is. If he knew who adrian was he would've called the police on you because why would a man that works for a chemical company be with a gang of people.

The doctors looked at her compassionately, and one of them covered Victoria's eyes as needles began to slide into her arms. Cold, refreshing liquid began to stream up her warm, sweating body, and Victoria relaxed.

into death.

no lol she's unconscious.
