Should E-Sports really be considered a sport?

This guy considers E-sports real sports, externus.
Why should we respect your opinion over his?
Also: Chess is definitely, definitely, definitely a sport. It is a contest of the highest caliber. Many master chess players go insane.
For every way a traditional sport like hockey is physical and physically crushing, chess is mental and mentally crushing.

As far as I can tell, no one has looked at golf yet.
If you accept that golf can be a sport, then not even 'a contest of the highest calibre' or extreme exertion of a mental or physical state is needed.
If you allow chess and golf to be sports, then esports shouldn't even be up for debate about being a sport. Even, Hearthstone, despite needing almost no skill to play, could be a sport.

Nice genetic logical fallacy! Also, nice flat-out ignoring what is said and the entire debate and then just throwing a useless link and acting as if it's some trump card!
Read the discussion before you talk.

First of all, what? Genetic logical fallacy? What? What are you even talking about?
I did read your posts though, and because of that I am flat out ignoring them. As always it's the same nonsense you always post, I find it bewildering that you're even allowed to post here still, to subject the rest of us to your asinine brain dribble.
You don't listen, you don't understand, your opinion never changes. You just continue to punch in walls of text that are dense in more than one meaning of the word.
I understand that exilement wants to keep this section somewhat inviting though.
The point is, does that professional sports players opinion not trumph yours? Does it not?
I think he's got a much firmer grasp on what sports are all about than you.

I just have difficulty taking Esports seriously, especially considering how you can exploit games in ways you can't exploit real sports

What about steroids, bribes, home field advantage, etc?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
1) Only time I've ever actually posted non-sense was on the US Government one. Wasn't even nonsense, I just didn't want to take the time actually organize anything into cohesive thoughts because I was utterly indifferent. It was just disorganized to the point of illegibility.
2) It's a genetic logical fallacy because you're putting an OPINION over another due to it's source (even though I don't recall using any opinion, including my own, as part of my debate ONCE). He has no power over what is a sport or not. He plays sports. He doesn't dictate definitions. By your very logic, since I am a consumer of food, I can therefore define what a keish is. Know your fallacies!
3) If you don't want to read and have some personal vendetta, fuck off. Don't debate and then post obnoxious, passive-aggressive shit without reading 95% of the debate, much less my 'walls of text.' You didn't read ANYTHING, not even just my posts. You say you're bewildered that I'M here? Get real bud. You're shit in the mind.
4) I don't listen or understand? I abandoned the definition where sports had to be purely physical and accepted one where Chess is included as a sport. If you learned how to read you would know that! :)
5) "Asinine brain dribble."
6) If you read any of the debate as well, you'd still realize, your piece of shit link [which still falls short anyway] does not constitute as any evidence. Chess can be considered a sport, while E-Sports under the same definition still are not.
you seem a bit salty there!

>Implying that wouldn't affect professional gaming
Steroids in football = Adderall in gaming
Bribes would remain the same
home field advantage is whatever
I'm talking about exploits like optimizing a game in ways you can't in real life. In professional Halo 2, you'll notice that B+X+RT resulted in players being killed immediately when they touched another player.
It was an exploit that allowed you to melee, and then immediately head shot the player and kill him.
In professional TF2, there was a weapon for Scouts that was banned because it was too powerful, and lent itself to being exploited. I don't remember the name but it let you shoot a ball that would stun players for several seconds, and you could kill them really quickly, as well as the bat itself having a lot of ammo to stun a lot of players.
Like, there's exploits in football, like touchbacks or faking fouls in soccer, but it's not nearly as bad as a player in competitive CSGO wearing a earpiece under his headphones that was connected to somebody spectating the other team.

1) You post none sense, every time. Peoples reaction to you makes that pretty obvious. That's why I don't address your arguments, because it's a waste of my time. Except for the time I did in the "is homosexuality moral?" thread. Oh yeah, you ran away from that because you realized how foolish you sounded.
The next time you run away, do us all a favor and don't come back, yeah?
2)That's not what genetic logical fallacy means. I'm not just putting a random opinion over yours, I'm putting an experts opinion over yours. Would you not trust a chefs advice in cooking over someone that isn't an expert?
Even if they're not actually your opinions *Which I doubt* it still comes across as contrarian.
3)Oh wow, accusing me of being unable to read and telling me to "Fuck off" real mature buddy. I'm sure that's gonna get you real far.
4)No you don't, I'm not sure you understand anything. I'm not sure you ever know anything about anything you talk about.
6)Explain please?
Edit: Let me rephrase number 6, explain in less than 3 paragraphs please?

E-Sport is not normal sport where you run, jump and bunch of others things. E-sport stands for "Electronic Sports" now what that means is simple; it stands basicly for teamplay strategy to some degree also electronical wise but that is not all that true since Chess is going to be under E-sports soon for what i very much hope so. Overall sports and eSport are 2 very diffrend things and they mean diffrend things and rules are diffrend. So yea e-sport will never be a any kind of sport ever never. But Sport will never be eSport ever never.

1) Didn't run away. I stopped, because I don't like coming back. In fact, I plan on making an ultimate thread on homosexuality. :) At least I won't be showing evidence of a gay gene that has experiments which included a single vague question which they based homosexuality off! Also, at least I don't Ad Hominem my way through 99% of debates! Furthermore, I hardly go on the Debate Forum, so not sure how often people are reacting to my shit. You must be on something.
2) He doesn't determine the definition of what a sport is. He plays football and that's it. He has no say in anything. Bottom line. Also, that is what a genetic fallacy is. It's basing something better or worse off it's source. His history with football doesn't mean anything. I can play football, does that make my opinion better or worse? You're gilding this shit because he has the word professional next to his name.
3) You're talking about maturity? I can be immature, but at least, I don't pull this shit, even while being some punk pseudo-intellectual. And then the hubris you have to call out maturity. No comment. also, you can kindly fuck off if you have no intention of reading my long pieces of wall-text-shit. nice logic there man
4) There's that infamous Jutsu maturity!
6) Read, dickhead. I doubt you actually will read it, and will just Sharpshooter your way to some ignorant response, so I'll sum it up here. A definition from some sports site that Exile gave that included Chess as a sport does not include E-Sports as a sport because the way videogames are programmed. It said there had to be absolutely NO luck element at all. There are many RNG elements that can determine games. These single RNG elements can determine entire games and tournaments. You find this RNG from spawning, to weapon spread, to just pure random luck. Even in games like Poker, your odds don't stack exponentially to determine a game, like it does in many E-Sports games. There is no downward spiral effect that you find.
Also, "you post none sense, every time." Man, that's a bold statement coming from you.
Were Special-Ed classes hard for you?
Quote from JutsuYou shouldn't throw stones from that glass house.
Great way to justify your horseshit.

I'm so sorry that you couldn't think of anything valid to say about my video and now you're desperately trying to upset me in some way or to instigate a fight.
Well since this obviously isn't a debate topic anymore I'm going to let exilement do his thing here, because I've got bigger fish to fry.

Anything valid? Chess can be a sport while E-Sports remain non-sports. You. Are you okay? Like I literally, just had a paragraph explaining this, with no extra walls of text or any anti-reading impetuses, and you still...
alright.
