So I was talking to a few folks here about how there used to be a thread about simple little challenges where we were asked to animate something simple (to unrust, or not), and then users may or may not CnC them, then and there.
Well, I couldn't find that thread so I thought I'd make my own.

Now the idea is pretty self explanatory.
Anybody could send in a simple challenge/subject to animate about.
Though it must be simple and not too time consuming. Maybe a day could be enough? So that we can have new challenges everyday.
Or lets just decide the time limit based on the challenge itself.

*I've decided to keep the time limit optional as some of us would be busy with college/job. However, if you're interested in finishing it before the time limit, you're super cool~

Here's an example of what not to do: Don't just straight out challenge the unrusters to animate a full-fledged Terkoiz VS Hyun animation where they do all their super awesome special attacks and finish each other with a fatality, while having some super cool background music to go with each and every one of their moves and breath, no. Don't.

Instead, challenges about animating a river flow, a fire burn or a person lifting a heavy object (I remember doing this one) could do just fine.

Put some considerable amount of work into it alright? Make sure to animate the follow up action, wherever it seems necessary. There's no rush to post it 5 minutes after you've started working on it. You have at least a whole 24 hours, which is 1440 minutes. So just spending 5 minutes out of that is a waste of your resource. Remember that!

Before you start, check out this super cool book called- 'The Animator's Survival Kit' by Richard Williams. Its dope.

So to kick start the show, let's begin by animating-

1. Jumps (14/11/2015) (Time - 3 days)

2. Running (16/11/2015) (Time - 2 days)
Try following this (Click to Show)

3. Punching (19/11/2015) (Time - 2 days)

4. Kicking (23/11/2015) (Time - 2 Days)

5. Getting Hit(28/11/2015)(Time - 2 Days)

6. Backflip(8/12/2015)(Time - 3 Days)
Try following this (Click to Show)

7. Block(10/5/2016)(Time - 2 Days)
Attempted by (Click to Show)

(Remember, anybody can join, anytime. Late submissions are also allowed. It's a free for all!)

Well, seeing that I'm currently in need to break my rusts: http://sta.sh/01jvlfrgwtwl

Guess there's not many participants by now so I suggest to extend the deadline?

Really smooth!

the only two flaws I saw:
- When he/she (let's call it "It") steps in the edge of the building, it should bend more it's knees (to add anticipation). that jump looks more like it's going to jump into a pool more than jumping between two buildings.
- When it stops from rolling, you should add more easing. I'd suggest to make its head more forwardly, add some easing to that, and then make the head go backwards a little bit (with easing too). This is to add the feeling of innercy (I think in animation is called "followtrough actions". Like the antena of a car, the head should keep moving when the body stops, and then the heads goes back to align with the rest of the body).

I'd like to see the corrected version of this (is just a couple more of frames ;) )

Hot dang Kodoku. Someone also pointed me out regarding to the lack of feet bending before he jumped haha. Think I should try to fix it if I have time (or make a different kind of practice when I have a chance to do it later).

- I feel more like he's going to jump and roll in front of mattress if anything ^^" I put his arms to the front so that his head didn't get into the floor first (which was going to hurt, I bet).
- Although I find you nailed the point regarding to easing, I was thinking he stopped his motions by one of his arms (in this case, his left one) to prevent it for further rolling. Though I should have put the arm to the front instead of the side, shouldn't I? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Cheers for the tips~ :D

- It's not because of the arms, is because of the legs. It looks like "oh no biggie, I'll just give a little jump between this two buildings". If the knees bend more, it gives the spectator more anticipation. It'd look like "I have to make a big jump to make it to the other way". That's another concept of animation (wich name I can't remember): The amount of frames on an action tells alot about the nature of that action. The more you bend your knees, more different the action is: If your knees only bends a little, maybe you're playing to jump the rope. If you knees bends a little more, maybe you're trying to jump over some poo on the floor. If you bend your knees as much as you can, maybe you're trying to jump to another building :)
- even if he stops his body from rolling, the upper part of his body keeps moving forwards (due to innercy). so it's necessary to add the movements I said earlier, or it'll look unnatural (like a robot)
