i've read one book, and watch a couple of movies about ppl who were immortal, their lives sucked because they tried to be the same person they were every life time, and most of all, because they tried to be normal, they eventfully regret the the decisions they've made and regret their immortality
most of them merely just become sad or evil
vandal savage, Hector Barbossa, Dracula, Ra's al Ghul, Doctor Manhattan, Lord Voldemort, Adam Monroe, etc

Well y'see, all those interpretations of immortal people are from fictional works, and those characters are they way they are because the author needs them to be. No one really knows what an immortal person would be like.

Also, it's impossible to become someone else :p No matter what you do, in the end it's just you, and the thing you feel like doing at that point in time. We are what we do, and all that fun nonsense.

It seems like this thread is still doing fine, but it will run its course soon. So the message I want to leave with you all:
All these dreams and all these cool experiences you want to do with your life once you're immortal... almost all of them could be done with a normal person's lifespan as well. So what's stopping you from pursuing those dreams now? What does immortality do to make these plans suddenly possible? Is it because you have an unlimited amount of time to put it off until you'll eventually get around to doing them?
