They just thinkin that was the most good theme in RHG stories,or because peoples didnt have any idea for make other theme for dat so de solution is

i guess my greatest complaint about that theme is just the lack of details in so many of them, school is taking up the part of my brain that thinks logically. but does anyone agree that the "dead parents must get vengeance" (that rhyme tho :O) is over used, because in the ones i have seen this year a lot of them have the same type of story. i'm all for letting the people have their fun and own free reign of their rhg, because most of them do have unique abilities and weapons, but some of them (at least the ones i have seen) use the same type of theme for their stories.

I love how Shadowkirby is the one "yes" for the poll.

Poor guy has to read every single submission.

Regardless of how many people agree with you, do you really think the mods are going to enforce it because a handful of demanding shitlords don't like something?
But if this does become a thing lets also add these totally respectable rules:

-All RHGs must be over the age of 20.
-RHGs are no longer allowed to have anime eyes.
-RHGs are no longer allowed to be the colour green.

Yeah, this is on that level. You can't enforce creativity, you know.

No! The dead parents trope gives the gladiators an edge that they didn't have before! We must enforce this right this instant!

Just kiding. Well I don't know what to say. I guess there are many other unoriginal tropes that are more common in RHG backstories....And it doesn't matter! People who made these are not writers. They're animators. Besides backstories influence only the few who had the idea to incorporate their story into their fights.
Oh, and another thing, they are fights! You can't get more unoriginal. The only thing RHGers should focus on is to make their characters' weapons and powers unique, but to a level they can animate. If they are to make more story rich animations, then clearly the RHG is not the right system for that.

What is it original on RHG?

They did everything that could be done.
Even a poop-bender.

Yes, it was devi's first ever wRHG.

It was amazing, especially the time he took on Hewitt and WON.

A green stick figure with a sword, rage mode, and dead parents. Also 20 years old.

Naah, originality can still be found
Although I'd not search it specifically into weapons/powers used (90% of them can punch and throw kicks anyway) but more like in the theme of the character made and in the amount of work actually spent into the developement of the character
Otherwise it's like saying Guts from Berserk matters shit because he's just a "black knight with a giant ass sword and a rage mode"

guys get of his case! honestly the story doesnt have to be original, but that is no reason to attack the poll. He was only seeing if other people had the same mindset. In my case the parents never died, but they were abusive. Is that any better, of course not! Its all about the fights not the backstory!

It's usually the animators age. Because only a 14 year old would think another 14 year old is cool.
