Frenchy, usually a dedicated student, wasn't a fan of Language, but struggled to stay awake in respect for Mr. Johnson. What caught her attention was what Mr. Johnson said about "Enferma". Frenchy knew that had meant Nurse so perhaps that Pascale girl was sick? She had been absent yesterday too and was acting really strange on Monday.
Despite his Exhaustion, Nil successfully sprinted across the No man's zone, while Tim, having a Vietnam Flashback, remained paralyzed behind one of the benches. Nil tripped and one of the pitching machines took an opportunity to swing towards him, but Tim leaped into action and tackled it, getting shot in the arm in the process.
"You ok, kid?"

Nil nods. "Fine. I just gotta make it to the breaker." Gritting his teeth, he continues onwards towards the shed. While he wanted to apologize to the gym teacher, that would have to wait until the danger had passed. And so long as everyone was panicking, the danger would take a while to pass.

"Ill be fine, Kid...just get to the breaker, I'll cover yah!" claimed Tim as he grabbed a garbage can lid and held it in front of him.
Aiko finally landed safely on the back of one of the pitching machines, seeing that the switches could be easily moved, but they were already in the off position.

Nil nods in appreciation, heading to cross the gap in a final burst and rather than try to figure out what is what, flips ALL of the breaker switches. There wasn't any time to guess. There wasn't any time to wonder what would happen if he flipped all the switches. Lives were at risk here, and that had a much higher cost than some potential electrical damages. That thought in mind, if the machines didn't stop, Nil was going to start bashing away at the box with a softball.

The power across the entire school had flickered for a moment and then shut off completely.
"Wha..." mumbled Pascale as she awoke from sleeping in class.
"Nobody Panic, I'm sure what ever is happening is under control!" assured Frenchy, like a dutiful student president.
"Dangit Tim, what did you do now. Everybody just hold on here, I'll check on whats going on here," assured Ms. K as she walked out into the hallway.
Snoring in one of her cots, Nurse continued to sleep unabated.
The Pitching Machines all turned off and stopped moving.

Nil falls onto his back, breathing deeply. "That... really... sucked." And just like that, he falls asleep.

He wasn't one to normally sleep in class, but it was the only way to escape from all the chaos. As soon as everyone hid behind the benches, he leaned against one and closed his eyes. Once the pitching machines stopped shooting and the screaming stopped, his eyes opened and he stretched with a yawn. He got up from his resting place and walked around to find Chi also huddled behind a bench. "Well that was fun." He looked over to the pitching machines and his eyes trailed the cords to the shed. One of the machines was also turned towards the shed, suggesting it was shooting at someone who had run that way. Curious, he began walking over to see who had shut off the machines, probably the teacher being that he was absent, but if there was a chance the man got hit by a ball, then he would need to be taken to the nurse. So Nathaniel walked over to see if he could help, and stretch out after his short nap.

Having taken cover behind the benches with the majority of other students during the commotion, Sora became occupied during the excitement helping two others hold down another student in class who had panicked and attempted to run past the makeshift cover without thinking. Luckily able to keep the frantic individual from jumping up away from the safety of the benches until the machines stopped, Sora sighed in relief as he propped himself flat on the ground and rested for a moment with his eyes closed.
Getting up slowly, Sora opened his eyes again, only to see a familiar bright and unnatural flash before his vision suddenly went blank. Fumbling around, he pulled himself up to a sitting position against the concrete field barrier with his left hand as he covered his eyes with his right before the pain started seconds later. The same flash and pain in his eyes had happened that morning just as he awoke, almost identical to the experience he had exiting the visualization pod the night before. Thankfully, it seemed that blocking his vision with his arm was able to lesson the pain, which he believed was caused by looking at moving objectives after the flash went through his vision. Not fully understanding it, he figured it was just due to stress he wasn't aware of at the time, but the new incident had him doubtful of his previous theory. It wasn't that he wasn't thinking well enough on it, but more to do with what he didn't want to believe was going on with his mind that kept him from realizing the full truth of what was happening to him.
After a few seconds it was finally over. Breathing heavily as he leaned back against the field barrier, Sora blinked rapidly in an attempt to clear his vision. Still behind the benches, his sight had a strange shade of an almost completely transparent grey and black over normal visible colors.

But wait (Click to Show)
Electricity crackled between the machines and the began to move again, revving up and preparing to fire once more. Ms. K wondering what was causing all the ruckus walked out from the hallway to the fields.
"Oh gawd, they're doing it again!" yelled Tim as Nathan slid behind him.

"Hey Mr. Tim, I was here to thank you and possibly take you to the nurse if needed. But seems like I can only do the former." He looked behind the man and saw Nil lying on the floor. "Oh what is Nil doing here?" He looked to the broken power breaker. "And how are those things still running?" He peeked out and quickly reeled back in. "Well wonder what we can do..." He tapped the shed. "Hey Mr. Tim, anything in here you think we can use?"

Refocusing himself despite the strange color change, Sora quickly huddled up behind the nearby bench again for cover. Hearing the ball machines rev up louder, he grabbed a softball sitting nearby on the ground a few feet to the side of where he was seated. Figuring it was worth a shot, he prepped himself to toss it into the air above him at about the height a head would be looking over the bench standing up, aimed slightly forward as to not land on his head when if it went back down without incident. Waiting until he could hear the machines beginning to fire before throwing the ball, he observed the space around it closely to see if the machines targeted the moving object.

A dastardly pitching machine fired a ball straight at Tim and his make shift shield ripping it from his hands. Nathan, not paying attention got slammed by the garbage can lid in the chest and rolled a few feet. He managed to get on his hands and knees but he was completely winded, out of breath, and possibly had a rib or two broken. He wasn't taking anyone to the Nurse's office, but he was luckily still conscious.
As Sora threw his ball a nearby machine turned in his direction but did not shoot.
"TIM! KID!"
Ms. K, running in comfortable tennis shoes, sprinted across the field. All of the machines in the area turned and started firing at her. but she somehow dodged all of them. Spinning through the air and grabbing a bat as she did so, she landed and with a spin move sliced the Pitching machine in half like a Samurai. Sliding in front of Tim and Nathan, she held her bat in both hands ready for battle.
"COME AT ME YOU SORRY EXCUSES FOR SCRAP METAL!"

There was unlucky, then there was this. He wondered how he was supposed to explain this to his family. He could feel the uneven weight on his right side due to the lack of support and gently careened to the left before lying on the ground. He didn't have the strength to hold himself up as he couldn't breath. Now would be better to worry about yourself rather than your siblings. His mind rationalized but his heart was out to his siblings. How was he supposed to cook them dinner or lunch or breakfast? This would force his mother to work even more than she already did, sacrificing her few sleeping hours to provide for her family. Fuck... fuck... He gasped, "Fuck!" Before biting his lips and cradling his sides. He couldn't move much or his broken ribs could stab into his organs or puncture out of his skin. Blood dripped from his lips and out of the sides. Fuck fuck fuck...

Glancing to either side, Sora noticed the students around him still taking cover behind the benches.
First speaking to the guy crouching down next to him, one of the two that helped hold down the panicking student from earlier, Sora spoke quickly in somewhat of a rush, eventually addressing most of everyone around him, "Hey, I'm going to try and run out to the side while Ms. K has their attention, you guys follow if it's safe. We don't have a lot of time." Swiftly turning towards the direction of the exit to the field ahead, Sora avoided popping his head above the bench as he crouched down to a sprinting position.
Suddenly breaking into a low dash, he rolled to the next bench first before breaking into a sprint towards the exit of the field. If he made it, he would take cover behind the edge of the concrete wall while quickly gesturing for the others to follow if he wasn't being shot at.

Ms. K nodded as Sora led the students to safety, but yelled at them to watch out as a few machine's followed them. The students following Sora, ran into the inner hallway and barricade the door, which the pitching machines blasted upon, a few crashing through the glass of the doors. Meanwhile, in Language class, a volley of softballs smashed through the window.
"These guys aint so tough at all," mocked Ms. K her accent slipping out.
"Hey Maddie, we just got these machines don't break em!" complained Tim as he hoisted up Nathan, careful to avoid his ribs.
"Really Tim, is now the time?!"
As she said this, two halves of the machine she sliced reformed into two whole new machines who began revving up those friers once more.
"Aww crapbaskets," she cursed.
