Well, if you aren't trying to convert people, then what's the point of stating that there is a paradox? Obviously you must have noticed that if a paradox existed, people would realize that there is no ground to being a "pure atheist".
And i haven't been trying to convert anyone, I've been merely pointing out that the search for evidence in God's favor will ultimately a fruitless one, and if no evidence is found, it could be that God does or does not exist.
If anything, I've been actually strengthening the religious argument.
Is pure Atheism a paradox?

Quote from aceofspadesDon't we have a satellite(can't remember the name of it) up there right now that has found energy given off from the Big Bang, the thing that disproves God?
Hey bro, the big bang doesn't disprove god... Because in the bible it states that before god created the world, it was dark(before big bang no stars, no light, etc.) then he created light(our sun) etc. Etc. If the bible is right, God always was, thus he couldve created the big bang. And I know some idiot is going to reply to this stating that the big bang happened extremely fast... I ain't going to explain how the god creating the earth in seven days with the big bang is plossible...

Why does this thread still exist?

Really? From the way people talk, you either believe in the Big Bang or God. All the scientists who believe in the Big Bang ever want to do is disprove God. And everyone knows that people who believe in God won't ever stop trying to make you believe in him(hence this thread)
I guess what you're talking about makes sense.

The fact that you think that anyone here is being FORCED to talk about it is ****ing stupid.

I don't think anyone here is being forced to talk about it..
and yeah okay Ash, i'm stupid, good job.
I've seen time and time again in threads like these with people saying stuff like "I just hate atheists because.." or "I just hate christians because.." instead of looking PAST the actual faith (or lack thereof) of a person, and judge the actual person.

It seems like you don't understand that religion actually effects they way people live their lives.
And questioning religion is a very important thing to do. After all, so much of history has been changed by it, and it's safe to assume that the future will too.
Give me one valid reason why we SHOULDN'T talk about religion.

I believe in God and I'm not telling you what to believe. In fact, you're telling me what to believe.

what? what I was trying to say is that it sucks that people judge other people based on what they believe in.

Yeah, and I responded with why it matters what people believe in.
And it's not like I base my entire judgement on that one detail. Usually, I don't assume anything about a person from knowing their religion except for the fear of me getting shunned myself because of my beliefs.

Actually I haven't told you anything of what to believe. I'm staying neutral in this argument. And you're telling me that the people who started this forum didn't want to argue about why their side was right?
