The shot:
The bullet was a bit wobbly - they tend to fly straight. You mentioned that you should start the fade trail earlier, which is true. The gun should kick instantly instead of being still for, I think, two frames. He should ease out of the kick as well, so the motion will be /-----/--/-//. Lastly, the flash needs to disappear slowly. If you split it into particles this will be easier, although a fade might also work.
Stair kick: A bit choppy. You still need to work on the walk and things. The stick's knees should bend more before the jump and you need to work on the physics for when he's in the air. The tremour's alright, although it's less efective because the floor's at the bottom of the screen so you can't move it as much as you might like. Here's an example of a jump I made earlier:
Notice how far the knees are bent at the beginning and end. Also take note of the position and motion in the air.
The blood effect on yours is ok, but blood is very difficult. There's an official blood tutorial for pivot in the official tuts section which might help you. I also think one of the problems here is that the blood is spreading to a place where blood could not normally go, ie. through the stairs.
