With the tetris thing you are assuming that the house they were in would have electricity to charge the console, which they probably wouldn't. So you would have to use a generator, which needs gasoline, what would you do when the gas ran out? Tree houses aren't very large, nor do they have thick walls. Since no one really knows how zombies sense human beings(the zombie survival guide says it could be smell or a sixth sense) Then you would draw lots of zombies to your hideout. And they would come in droves. You are assuming that you could take 3-4 zombies at once, which you probably could, but what if your treehouse got swarmed by 25-50 zombies? How are you planning to get out? You can't use explosives, or fire, without destroying your own hideout.

A rope ladder is always a good Idea, but I don't know about treehouses.

It's been theorised that the Hoover Dam could keep churning out electricity for fifty years after all the engineers leave. I don't know whether that's the only place that would do that, or if it was just the only place where the engineers were thick enough to tell their bosses that they were essentially an unnecessary drain on the payload, but electricity would be available somewhere. The only snag is that it's in America.

I'm also assuming that zombies can't climb trees so the walls aren't too much of an issue. Getting out still might be though. What if we had two treehouses in different trees about a hundred metres apart conected by rope bridges (probably using other trees for support in the middle). That way I could spend 99% of my time in one tree house where all the zombies would cluster around, and then when I needed to go out I could run to the other treehouse and climb down the ladder there before the zombies would reach it.

I think ideally I would want to live in a supported carved out mountain side, there would be a zip wire to an opposing cliff side to escape, and in the cliff side there would be enough room for a house, generator, etc.

Well I guess you would need to be careful. You could build wooden supports or a fence on the edge I suppose.

Difficult to find food around a mountain side. Granted, tricky to find houses in a forest but I wasn't really being serious for that. If I had time before the zombies tracked me down I think a small wind turbine would suffice for my gaming needs. The advantage is that living in a forest gives access to plants and any wild deer/rabbits that were smart enough to move away from the zombies.

What's the nutritional content of a zombie?

Zombies are shit at pretending. If you want to pretend like anything, pretend like a stick insect. They're great at pretending. In fact, if you were as good at pretending as a stick insect, you could even pretend to be a zombie!

I just had a mental image of a load of zombies climbing into the roller coaster and going up to get you. It was funny on so many levels.

Never in attacks. God... did you read the guide.

If you had 4 guys in a straight line with riot shields on there knees, and 4 guys behind them with sub machine guns and or shotguns on top of a roof top. It would work.

And whenever the gunners had to reload a second set of gunners would come up to keep the fire going while the first line reloaded. (Granted you'd need like 12 people, 4 riot shields, and 8 guns for this to work.)

your forgetting ammo and the proffesional training needed to shoot the guns straight/get in the right formation/reload in the right time/

Let's just say they were cops? I mean where else could they get riot shields and the ammo needed to sustain the rate of fire I have in mind.

And as for reload time that's why there's a second set of gunners.
