It's been my experience that a lot of people on the internet hate America, especially the government.

Do you hate America? If so, why? I want to discuss this with people.
I will agree with you. A lot of Europeans believe that all U.S. citizens are pretty stupid. I think that's because of the stereotype set on by bush and their interactions between the masses of stupid people on the internet. It might also be from celebreties, since (apparently) other countries get that type of news as well.

And yeah, I also think that most citizens have a slight dislike of the government aswell. It just escalates on the internet because of your "masked identity" and general arguementative nature.

Don't forget tourism. I guess if everyday I'm graced with some middle-aged couple wearing khakis and fanny-packs snapping pictures of everything they see just because it's in a different country, I'd be inclined to draw a conclusion towards U.S. citizens, too.

I agree with everything you said up until that last sentence. It's my opinion that most citizens tend to like the government, and think we have a great country. But I find an overwhelming amount of internet people (whom I believe are more susceptible to conspiracies etc.) who think differently.

Well, here's the thing. If someone tells you that the U.S. government sucks, then you're going to get 2 reactions:

1. They're going to reluctantly agree.
2. They're going to go patriot ape shit on you.

2. (highly unlikely) They're just going to know that it we're going through a war phase, just like in WWI. Things will revert eventually.

edit: yeah, I do see a lot of conspiracy inclined individuals on the internet. Way more then in real life.
I'm not of the stance that all americans are dumb, it's a ridicolous statement. Of course it's sort of horrifying to see americans not finding the USA on a world map, but I'm highly positive that I could find a number of people unable to find Germany on a map when I go to Berlin and ask around.
Still, I don't like America. It's not the people, it's the government, simply for acting big world police and watching over everything. Trouble in Iraq? **** that wiggers, drop some bombs and shit. Especially the Bush Jr. government has made several brutal mistakes that affected the world as a whole. Although I'm not a believer in case of Global warming, which I think is total bollocks, the reaction of the US about the Kyoto protocols ("No shit, that's crap you euro sons of a bitches") is really stunning and just makes the US government look ignorant.
I don't really hate the U.S, but some things frightens me, for example this "waterboarding is not torture" thing. I think the U.S has far too much power. I also went to New York this summer, and the extreme nationalism was... extreme.
the US will end the world.
I hate people that hate america, but I don't hate america.
Not everyone on the internet is american. I got an australian friend and the stuff he talks about his hilarious. Like how they joke of us electing spongebob for president.
you dont have to be an american to hate america

Sounds like something I would say.
if you're not an american, you're amer-idiot

that's my philosiphy
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, I dislike the government. I think America is slowly going fascist and its sort of frightening. The vast majority of Americans are to easily manipulated, and we kind of need to wake up and take our rights back.
