However, religion its self is a man made concept. If there is a God, It is not bound by some man made beliefs. If God was a kind, loving, all knowing being, he wouldn't make humans if he knew we were going to separate from each other in different parts of the globe and have different beliefs. And only save a small percentage of them. What the hell? Its Gods fault in the first place, why should humans born in different parts of the globe brain washed to believe a certian religion (just like you) suffer for it? You expect me to believe that just because someone was GROWN up to be Muslim or Buddhist they should burn in hell for the rest of eternity? ETERNITY!? REALLY? That just sounds so ridiculous. I have a feeling people cant grasp the idea how long an eternity is...it never fucking ends.... Sending your so called "children" to hell FOREVER...That seems pretty evil to me just for not believing in him. God? More like a demon.

Also these so called "miracles" that God preforms. If God existed, why would he provide "miracles" to people of ALL religions around the globe if the people were going going to believe it was their God instead and praise their God even more and drag others with them?


I find it hard to believe a perfect God, could create such failures like us....Unless God him self isn't perfect....But he has to be perfect? But since we aren't perfect or anywhere NEAR perfect, it doesn't all add up.

P.S What benefit would being a mushy blob be, rather than have 2 legs and 2 arms? How would we move around? How would we speak to each other? Evolution is caused by tiny mutations that allow us to benefit from our surroundings. If humans over the next 100,000 years started becoming more aquatic, do you think our bodies, would turn heavier? Of course not! We would sink to the bottom.

My opinion on the matter is that there is probably a 50/50 chance of a god existing. Either one does or one doesn't. That's the logical answer, but perhaps somebody more religious than me could say otherwise. The answer is different for everybody, really.

Meh, I would call it 80/30 just based on the crap ton of people dying for a day or so and coming back and there reporting's. And that book "Heaven Is For real" Is some pretty hardcore evidence. But yeah that's just like 10% the rest is based solely on faith in my opinion.

This is the debate forum, not the "state your opinion and leave" forum. If you're not going to at least read the main points in this thread, don't bother posting. I keep seeing people randomly weighing in on debates that have several pages to them, but they ignore all of the discussion and simply blindly state whatever their opinion is. That isn't the point of these. If the topic is "Do you believe in God," and the second post is, "I do not believe in god because science," your response should be either addressing the opposing side's point or raising new points in your favour.

yeah even though 80/30 doesn't make sense, i'm leaning more towards this. i'm thinking 80/20 or 90/10 (against god existing). i'm an agnostic atheist, so i don't claim i know for a fact that there is no god, and if there is then well i was wrong. but i think most likely, no god.

Also, just checking back on the thread, all you really need to read is the first 2 pages, maybe some later on, I can't remember. But after page 2 is the discussion on the semantics of agnosticism which isn't really relevant to the question title all that much.

God could easily make everyone perfect but how would he know we wouldnt betray him again like lucifer? now he only accepts those who ask and work to be in his kingdom.

and yes im in favor of deleting the thread too! this is a subject people have been battling for years and no ones ever won. religious people are too in love with God to become athiest and athiest are too afraid of the wrong they've done to become religious.

First of all, not a "crapton" of people have had that happen to them, and second of all, many people who are pronounced clinically dead and come back to life report no profound experiences while they were under at all.
