And don't forget to name all those layers. Or you'll get confused like hell.
And don't worry about being a filter whore. Do it pretty, the filters are there for some purpose.
Also remember that most sites don't allow uploads over 10 MB.

So, yeah don't abuse on Filters.

QUESTION:
I made a animation, and it's a 5 second animation, all frame by frame, and no filters.
But I get 8.3MB filesize.
What the hell?
Kieran.

I haven't received an answer form you yet scorpio...

To answer the above question: use as many layer as you see fit. Terkoiz uses over 100 in his animation. Only use filter for things like trails and speed blurs, but no too much or you'll be seen as a filter whore.

that still doesnt answer my questions i need to see a tutorial

look, all you have to do is use different layers where you see fit. For example, in a background, If you want a tree in front of hills, you'd make the top layer the tree and the bottom layer the hills.

ok...i got an advanced question...WHY does the V-CAM show up when i export my animation!? I must have missed something--i have watched and read A TON of tuts and i'm pretty much mind blown but if anyone knows how to get the V-Cam to ACTUALLY show what IT sees...it would be great! I have though about uploading it to see if the V-CAM plays correctly...but i don't wanna waste time uploading a bunch of times to finally get it running--i'll keep searching 4 the answer but I'm sure one of you guys out there can help out too

You could try Easytoon
You won't be able to use color, but it's a free animating program that works pretty well

No, probably not.

I have a question. With the line tool, is it easier to use a thicker line, and if you do so, will it be easier to get less stiffer sticks?

Well, that's the general idea. Try it out, I think thicker sticks are easier to animate.

Hello all,

I've just gotten Flash 8, made a short animation and exported it to an .swf, I need to know a couple of things;

Firstly, when I export it, what should I change? I just went File> Export> Export Movie> OK. Is there a frame rate I should play around with?
Secondly, how do I post my animation? I would prefer something like Imageshack.

You can change the settings for the frame rate and such in the properties panel.

You can post your animation by hosting it at a site that supports swf file uploading such as http://www.spamtheweb.com/ul/
