Now, to break it down.

Mac (Cheap): 2,000

200GB Hard Drive

Mac (Expensive): 2,800

250GB Hard Drive

So, to analyze.

Macs cheapest laptop which is roughly $10 more expensive than the windows laptop is worse than the Windows laptop in CPU, Video Card and RAM and it only ties it with the hardrive. And the most expensive one that is nearly $900 more expensive is still worse than the normal laptop as far as the CPU and RAM goes but it ties in the video card department and beats it with it's 250GB hardrive but only just.

But the Macfags may say "That's because Mac is virus free!"

No, it's not. I know someone who programmed a virus that took down macs, they are not fool-proof however if they're anti-anything they're anti-gaming and the only way to have the huge library of PC games is to install windows, go figure. And even though it's not virus free there is no reason to charge an extra $10 or $900 for it only to be handicapped as far as gaming goes.

So yeah.

I have a macbook as well as a pc, and I like them both. However, the layout and design on the mac is far better in my opinion, and I find that important. I mainly use my mac for making music, because there are better softsynths for macs.
Believe it or not, but there can be more to a computer than the ability to play high-end games.

but one thing i know is that PC's wouldnt be as good as they are if it wasnt for macs.

before macs existed, PC's relied on typing code in and stuff to be able to do stuff. macs brought out the interface of clicking windows etc. then PC's copied.

so even if PCs are better (which is something i dont know, cuz i dont really use macs), macs must be given some credit.

No, ALL computing was done by code, Mac came out with the interface and there wasn't any PC, there was only Mac. That is, until Microsoft started up.

I think you mean that Apple created the Graphical User Interface. This is true, but sticking to the Mac because of that is like buying a Magnavox Oddessey 2 instead of an Atari 2600 because "Magnavox did it first."

The thing is, with Macs you are buying the stylish case, the over-symplified interface, and the stylish interface. They overprice their computers way too often.

Macs ARE better for one demographic: the non-computer savy. My mom would be much better off with a mac than a PC, because she is confused way to easily.

I would DIE if my mom decided to sell our main computer for a mac, though. Mac OSs don't let you get close enough to the guts of the computer. It's too restrictive.
