Quote from DrizzleBut that actually defeated the purpose of homeschooling then.
How did you even know her anyway haha
Purposes of homeschooling can be different. Sometimes you live in the middle of nowhere etc. It's not to keep your kid from socializing.
As far as I've seen, people who were home schooled were always pretty damn weird because of their unrealistic views and expectations.

This.
For the most part most home schooled kids I met were alright, they just struggled in group situations. Outside of that they seemed pretty normal and just really smart because they actually learned the information given to them as opposed to just regurgitating it on a test.
It goes both ways though. Home schooled kids can be weird as fuck. I went to a home school dance once and it was...strange. I enjoyed that I could have real intellectual conversations with almost anybody there, BUT like it was said before, they were extremely opinionated.

Wouldn't it make sense to keep kids in normal schools up until a point, and then see if they want to switch? It's expensive as hell but if you've already had those social interactions even as far as middle school, the pace of homeschool can do a lot. You learn way faster being able to do so your own way. Public schools are too general to accommodate so many different kids, so the optimization helps.

I think it's all just up to who you are. I enjoy the socialization I do get but then with every good thing there is a bad. The bad is 90% of everyone else in my grade and below are all so... Cringe worthy. Favorite quote is "I hate white people". Why is that funny? It comes from a 19 year old white girl who loves to complain.
So many people feel like cancer in this school except this Puerto Rican guy named Ian who showed me kindness during lunch despite not knowing me and the fact I was new. Just random guy comes out of nowhere, super friendly, well mannered, and is a gamer like me.
Everytime he goes off somewhere he gives a fist bump and says "stay outa trouble, don't do drugs".
I bash on his music taste all the time though even though he has some simularities with my taste, he listens to a little too much pop like Drake (Drake isn't bad but he's definitely not my favorite).
This got off topic.
In conclusion I would be homeschooled but then I would lose my opportunity of 2 free years of college level animation courses. So I will put up with the cringe that most people give me.

for what it's worth I doubt you'll enjoy the company of more than 10% of the people you'll encounter as an adult either

Yeah I figured haha. Funny thing, my psn friend list is almost 300 people. 100 are never on, another 100 are playing games I don't like, 35 I forget why I keep them around, and the rest I used to be good friends with, and then I hang around about 10 at a constant

Well online school is always an option, pretty sure that some of them have the same benefits with colleges that public and private schools do. Costly money-wise but totally worth it IMO. I did it for 3 years, parents forced me back though -_-

It's kind of strange how a lot of people seem to dislike most people they meet. It seems like people around me are always bitching about someone that they dislike. For whatever reason that doesn't happen to me, and I just generally get along with almost everyone.

Exile and I both live up north, where, at least for me, most people are assholes. Like it is night and day how kind people were in Mexico compared to here.

I just have a problem with people that go out of there way to make an impression on how 'different' they are. Also others that force their beliefs on you.
