Well, for me, Championizing is more of an "evolution", transforming the unit into something else entirely, like from Spearton to Sparton, with an extra 2 blocks of HP, the ability to stab ONCE that takes away half a bar, and shields up to 60%. With an additional price of 450 gold and 100 mana. Or Rageblade with Inspiring Call that makes units around him goes into rage (raging spear :o ), but not him, and the Blood Blade, which is a kill-version of Fixate (the more killed, the stronger he is)
You know, completely new units. With high price for championing for easier balancing (since they can hardly get them out early) and to balance between quality or quantity.
Clarification: buy a 450 gold, 50 mana spear. Then, pay an extra 350 gold and 100 mana to upgrade to Sparton.
Also, I brainstormed ideas. Lemme list:
Order:
-Changes: extra 2 bars of HP, shield now blocks 60% damage.
-Skills:
+Shield Spike: launches a stab after the Shield Bash, dealing 0.5 bars of HP to a single unit. Requires an extra 50 mana.
-Price: 350 gold 100 mana
-Changes: extra 1 bar of HP. Has armor.
-Skills:
+Battle Cry: sending units around him in a "Blast" radius into rage (same time limit as normal rage) at the cost of his HP (same cost) Doesn't affect him.
+Blood Blade: increases attack for each enemy killed (stack up to 5 times)
-Price: 250 gold 100 mana
-Changes: extra 1 bar of HP. Has spear instead of staff. Wears armor.
-Skills:
+Fire bless: gives units in a blast radius the ability to burn.
+Poison bless: gives units in a blast radius the ability to poison.
+Thunder bless: increase damage by 10% or 20% and pierces armor.
(Note: requires corresponding upgrades of respective skills)
-Price: 200 gold 300 mana
Chaos:
-Changes: higher melee damage.
-Skills:
+Reaper with slightly less cooldown
+Hell Fist (normal one)
+Summoning the Deads: summon two ghost Deads, uncontrollable. 150 mana.
-Price: 300 gold 300 mana.
-Changes: slightly higher damage, faster fire rate, attacks inflicts poison. (always)
-Skills:
+Sniper Shot: shoots a Poison Spray-range arrow with more powerful poison. Or higher base damage. 150 mana.
-Price: 450 gold
-Changes: HP is now Statue upgraded. :O And attack now hit 5 units in range.
-Skills:
+Earth Slam: slams the earth (suprise!) and stuns units around him in a blast radius.
-Price: 1500 gold, 50 mana.
Elemental: (somewhat different mechanics though)
-Changes: black, antimatter head. Attack is now AoE and stuns.
-Skills:
+Black Void: shoots a blockable projectile that is slow-moving, has a blast radius/range and... deals the damage of a MEDUSA! :D Oh, and 200 mana.
-Price: 400 gold, 400 mana.
-Is an Elemental Giant, with the head of a D, the body of a V, the left arm of Water, the right arm of Wind, the left leg of Earth, and right leg of Fire. Attack is that of Chaos' giant. The fusion of V and D.
-Skills:
+Water Bomb: Magikill's blast, now with stun instead of burn!
+Marsh Field: creates a Poison Spray range area that slows units down by 50%.
+Meteor: a Medusa-power-leveled with the blast radius of DOUBLE Blast attack. Takes 10 seconds to execute, and can be interrupted with either attack or effect-inducing attack[stun/poison/fire]
-Price: 1000 gold, 600 mana.
