It's still just all opinion when it comes down to it

Not really mizu. Exilement and Jutsus say they don't understand why people blah blah like stick figures something about xiao xiao. They would probably say the same about not understanding why kids like Barney.
Because they're young and that's what kids do. Most of us have been here 7+ years
and because it's fucking Barney.

What have you people done, jombo is only allowed one post a day

Yeah, I'm not at all the same person I used to be. My tastes have changed.
I just don't really look at it the way I used to and there's a few things that factor into that. I'm sure age is one of them.

I'm sure that's what Jombo was getting at. He wasn't saying you guys are foolish for not seeing the appeal in it so much as he doesn't get how you guys dont see how others dont get the appeal of it and something about xiao xiao and terkoiz being the same when they're clearly not and don't forget Barney.

I don't get the appeal of Unrusting. You do the one good anim. And suddenly, every short you whip out every 6 months is a form of unrusting and its suppose to be awesome because you made that one good thing ages ago

shit that sounds like me for the past 4 years.
I disagree with rust. I feel like if you get good at something then you always know how to be good. So if you make a bad ass animation and know what it's supposed to look like, the only thing not doing it in a while will affect is how quickly you can do it again.

Oh I agree that rust exists. At least for kids like these. Maybe for you, who really practices, has a work ethic, and has tons of lengthy anims to your name, rust doesn't exist anymore. You're practically a professional to these noobs (not saying you actually are). I agree that rust can make you forget.
I just dont get the appeal of having to make threads to show you, basically regaining what you've lost. And expecting to be circlejerked for it.

What I don't get the appeal of are those doomsday nutters especially those teenage kids stockpiling guns for the great adventure. It's like they're preparing for a holiday that never comes. All I see are wannabe-badasses looking to emulate their favorite adventures of open-world scouring and political mistrust. Except of course, reality gets in the way and they're confined until civilization crumbles.
I also don't get inflation, flattening and petrification fetishes. It's not even erotic at all. Then again, this is coming from a guy who has a fetish for v[PM me for details]

Well you did just say the appeal. They want to live their fantasy, so they try to put it into reality.

Reeling back a few posts.
I know this was taken out of context, but there's a reason us pivoters are here. But maybe I can help you see the appeal. Well, maybe. I obviously can't speak for everyone.
But for me, I want to get better. Y'know, just really hone my craft in this thing. And well, if I'm aloud to make oddly specific analogies. I'd like to connect this to something called Super Smash Bros. Melee. Competitive SSBM. You see, this is Bizarro Flame If you don't understand what's happening well he just bodied fox, absolutely demolished him, read his every move and absolutely ended his entire career. With GANONDORF, the slowest character in the game, albeit he hits hard when he can. But, if you also did not know, he performed that on FOX. Fox, the most technical character in the game with the most options, set ups and movement, and the fastest. Hard to master, but when played to perfection he makes half the cast look like...Go! Animate if you can see what I'm saying.
You see. Ganondorf represents Pivot and all the other "low tier" animation software. (Tisfat-Yoshi, Easytoon-Peach, Stykz-Bowser etc.) And Fox, Flash and the rest of the SS tier characters. (C.Falcon - ToonBoom Marth - AnimeStudio etc.)
and RHG is a way to directly challenge somebody who may or may not be using low or high tier software. It's like being great with Dan or Deejay in USF4 and knocking out Cammy. (Extended analogy, sorry!) It's like WE KNOW we'll never be able to waveshine across Final Destination and Up Smash somebody to oblivion. WE KNOW we'll never be able to create something along the lines of Mic Wizard/Terkoiz/Resh levels of visual effects and type of animation. But we can animate. And it's also pretty awesome when we collide. So don't count us out.
I know you didn't say Flash was superior to Pivot (Though it was implied.) It's a mindset that exists on this forum. "You're really good for a pivot animator." "What! That was Pivot, woah." etc. and y'know I kind of live for that reaction, while still trying to destroy that state of mind. And all in all, this thread was kind of discouraging, in the fact that. What Exilement was saying. What are we going to do? Have we really hit the ceiling? Why should I even try to get better, if the limit has already been reached? Not as pivoters, but as stick animators. This IS Stickpage, and what do we do when we're tired of animating stick figures? This is another problem entirely, but those were the 2 biggest things I took away from this. All this RHG stuff I was so interested in just an hour ago has turned so...materialistic and pointless. I didn't even KNOW clans were supposed to be a way of mentoring and just thought they were a kind of hang outs \and coordinated animator collaboration zone and I was okay with that. And I'm not okay with that.
I really don't know what I was trying to say with this post, but I know I couldn't NOT say something. And I suppose that's a start.
Quote from Hewitt...Or rather, people who ever thought that Pivot ever had a chance to co-exist in a Flash-dominant setting.

4 posts in 4 seconds, all exactly the same. He basically wants swag for free. These kinds of people annoy me so much. There's literally no point in supporter sigs anymore even in an aesthetic sense.

At this rate they just want other people to draw their RHG's so they can bask at how much people recognize their charas.
EDIT: Ai, I think Hewwy's just exaggerating, he could've made it over a span of minutes.

Wait, doesn't this forum has the limit of posting every 30 seconds only?
