The Alpha was so furious as her act as she snickered playfully having him come towards her in a blind fury. Swinging his arm at her haphazardly only allowed her to step back, then to spring hard on the ball of her foot. Leaping hard she clung to the Alpha's arm and used his horns to swing onto his back. Leaning down she whispered quite gently to him. "Yo͠ų ̶hav̴e s͝ùc̸h p҉ret̴ty͠ ̡h҉orn̴s̸ ͜f̀or̶ ̧a̛ w͡ol͠f.͢" Gripping on she expected him to try and get her off. "Alw̡a̶y̡s ̢usi͘n͠g ͠yo҉u̸r h̷ánd̕s͢. ̕Wh҉y n͏o̷t you͝r̛ ̡m͜o͝ųţh̴?" Using his own horns as if to make him tilt his own head she drove her mouth full of razor sharp teeth into his neck, and placed her knees against his back before pushing with her legs. If she had gotten this far she would have ripped a much larger piece of his neck with blood running down the front of her. She still, didn't let go. Lissette completely dodged the alpha male's attack, jumping on the beast's back and threatening to do something worse to him. In a slight panic, he grabbed at her leg and threw her down to the ground. As she was falling, he attempted to punch her across the face. It was obvious that the alpha male was weak, even for a werewolf that had blood gushing from its arm.

The majority of the group continued on, not noting the "puny branches" that were trying to stab through them. Otael was moving fast toward the tree being, and for a moment it seemed he would get to it in time. However, the enchantress wouldn't have any of that, and as Jessica was dodging both attacks, she issued a whistle. For a split second, nothing happened.

Then, that gargantuan raven rounded the corner, flapping its heavy wings and letting forth a loud caw before tackling Otael to the wall of the sewer, stopping his motion completely. The enchantress then looked at Jessica once more, thoroughly impressed. "Puny branches, you say? Well...Let me make it better for you." The tiny branches on one side retracted themselves, going back into the Splinter Fright's sleeve. Then, that same repetitive snapping sound occurred, and a gargantuan tree branch moved to Jessica's direction. It was a knotted together clump of sharpened branches, all coming together to make this gigantic weapon.

Meanwhile, the small but numerous amount of sharpened branches at the other sleeve continued to wrap around Marcus, growing in numbers until one wrapped around one of his legs. At the same time, another group had dug into the ground, and a rumbling occurred underneath Septimius, threatening to emerge and impale him in multiple places.

However, this left him nigh defenseless against the incessant woodpecker that continued to break apart the branches. However, the branches would just continue to grow back, or another one would form in its place. Finally, however, the Splinter Fright had enough and thrust it's featureless face forward. One, moderately sized branch emerged from the center, piercing the heart of the gigantic woodpecker. It was obvious that it was growing annoyed.

Marcus hacked the twigs from his leg and kept strutting until he reached the back of the alpha. He had calves for days. "You need to learn to play nice." Marcus released the branches momentarily and swung at the alpha's abdomen with a mean left hook. His fist was a missile.

Otael hit the wall of the sewer with a large thud. He was staggered, but he managed to recover fairly quickly. He swiftly gripped his hook and brought it down into the beak of the giant bird. He then took a loose part of the chain and swung it around the creatures neck and started to strangle the avian.

He felt the tremor and knew what was coming. "Shit!" The spell wasn't ready yet, if he moved he'd break concentration, and all the mana would be wasted. He knew the general location of the oncoming stalagmites and did the one thing he could do, give and take. He only had enough time to step to the side, and any more serious dodging would break his concentration as well so it was the most he could do. It would cost him an arm, if not more, but it gave him the opportunity he needed. He finally controlled the mana and drew his staff out of the ground with the arm that wouldn't be in the way of the stalagmites and pointed it at the tree beast. He still had to focus on casting his spell, so he still couldn't move. "Cast!" He commanded and the mana shot out in the form of a blue rune inscription circle that spun through the air like a disc. It would enter the beast's midriff and then expanded to surround him. The sigil would be present for only a moment before it would shine and be replaced by a great pillar of ice, trapping the thing, and separating it from any branches outside the prison.

Ravin drew his bow and notched an arrow. With his other hand he dipped the tip in the venom sac from the spider. As he drew back the string, he saw his hands shaking. Taking a deep breath, he reminded himself exactly what Montfort de Corbin would do in a situation like this. This helped little as he didn't have a rope to swing on or a horse to ride into the sunset. Damn. In another attempt, he asked himself what would happen if he failed. The end of all light as he knew it seemed to inspire him, as Ravin's hands steadied. In his mind, he imagined a mighty boulder, and a single pebble knocking into it, and causing it to tumble down. He hoped to whatever gods cared that he was the pebble. And with that, he loosed the arrow, aiming straight and true, at the enchantress' heart

The large wolf had grabbed her leg and flung her in front of him, only to drive his other arm rushing to her face. Getting hit hard she fell onto her stomach getting onto her hands and knees before realizing the werewolf was behind her. Blood had dripped from her mouth as her black hair dangled in front of her face. "J̵us̨t̛ let ͜me̶ ͝rid̢e͢ ͝yo҉u͠. ́It'̷s ̀h̨a͘r͜mle̡s͘s ̀f̢u̧n." Shifting into a cat she stretched and trotted forward a bit towards a wall before turning and shifting back into her human form swaying a bit. She took a lot of blows to the head and she made a face of pain looking at the alpha. "G̨i̸ve̛ ̴me̡ s͠o̶mȩ ̀móre҉ ͢t͏ơ e̕a͠t. " Licking his blood from her lips she huffed hard getting ready for him again.

She stopped her forward motion as she heard flaping comming towards them. Before she could warn them the raven made it's way to their position, right after the witch insisted on attacking her with wooden branches "That's more like it, but I think I said that it won't be enough to stop me". She then positioned her feet in order to be able to block the impact "I've been hit with harder things than some wooden branches and they were never able to move me from my position, I got this..." she said wuite confident of her capacities. u mad bro? i.imgur.com/HopUQlR.png

Dammit. There were so many people who needed help. So many people who he needed to get to right away... but he could only reach one of them.

He had no time to deliberate or to weigh the options. All that he could do was react, and it was Jessica who he rushed to the aid of. While the enchantress gloated and concentrated on outdoing Jessica's reflective strength, Gabriel came in like a golden wrecking ball, Justice first. Running at full speed, he thrusted Justice out in front of him in a vicious stab, running into the woman as hard as he could.

Ghan and Desmond surged forward towards the enchantress. The stitchers glove sparked to life as he held his blade. Desmond watched as Septimius' spell sped to the enemy and struck.

"Perfect!" He said.

Desmond swung his sword laterally at the enchantress' hip while Ghan leapt forward and attempted to knock her head clean off her shoulders.

Lissette charged at the alpha simultaneously as Marcus swung a fist at him. He side stepped the both of them, however grew angry at the fact that Marcus had entered a one on one battle. Enraged, he backhanded Marcus with incomprehensible strength, enough to send him flying backwards and through the wall if he was to be hit. He put up a knee for Liss to run into as well. His body was growing slowly, gradually weaker.

Jessica successfully blocked the branch, however it was much more powerful than she expected. The branch pushed her back against the wall harshly, trying to find a way around her sword as she struggled against it. The enchantress could do nothing but laugh, glancing at her. "How cute. That's what you get for underestimating my creatures."

The poison tipped arrow surged toward her heart, and she darted her head toward it quickly before the whip that was attached to her body deflected it with great ease. She snarled. However, she was attacked by more people, and she didn't have time for all of them anymore. She smacked both Desmond and Ghan with the handle of her whip, smacking them away, however the gargantuan sword was thrust deep into her torso. She let out a gasp, looking down at the culprit as her glowing purple eyes had a furious fire. "You...You fool."

Septimius attempted to side step the coming branches, however, he wasn't able to deal with all of them. A few of them pierced deeply into his forearm, while another went clean through his shoulder blade and out from the other side. However, his spell was successful, and the being was frozen in a large pillar of ice. All of the branches broke apart, and Jessica was now not under as much pressure. For a moment, it seemed like the side boss had been beaten. It stood there, in a block of ice, so cold the the branches of its torso was beginning to break apart as well. Septimius began to celebrate, smiling wide.

Until the snapping sound began to be heard once again.

The branches continued to regenerate, breaking apart upon contact with the ice. However, since they continued to grow so fast, it began to get through the ice a little more with each and every break. More branches began to dig through the ice like tiny little pathways, and it wasn't long before some began to poke out through the ice. All of a sudden, tons of branches emerged from its body, breaking through the ice that Septimius had spent so much time creating around him. He was now exhausted of his mana, breathing heavily and leaning against his staff for support. As the beast broke out, it looked over at everyone, and for some reason it was obvious that it was enraged.

Even with Septimius' supposed failure, with it came a huge success. The branches on his torso had been completely torn apart, revealing a beating black heart deep on the inside. However, it only lasted a moment, before the branches began to cover up its torso once again. More wooden weapons emerged from its sleeves, once again putting pressure on Jessica.

The raven was dealt with fairly quickly after the chain was wrapped around its neck. It began to flail its wings rapidly, eyes widened as it struggled against the suffocation. It was only a few minutes before the raven went for its last gasp of staggered breath, falling limp to the ground and transforming back into a small parrot-like bird. However, Otael spent so much time doing all of that he neglected to help in everything else that occurred during that time frame.

The Splinter Fright was growing angered, and in this rage came a group of intertwining branches forming together and shooting down at Ravin. It then sprinted forward, trying to shoulder tackle Boris.

"You'll get your punishment for underestimate us as well" she said as she was still pushing away the branches with her sword, which was glowing brighter with each push. Suddenly the pressure of the branches decreased greatly, enough for her to tae a breathe. She noticed a weird energy comming out from the tree's chest, she noticed that Septimius was exhausted as well but when she started to walk towards him the monster began to regenerate and immediately put even more pressure on her, making her step back onto the wall once again. Her sword however was still charged with the force of the previous impact, letting out a battle cry she unleashed all the power onto the branches, if that happened to give her space to move Jessica would run as fast as possible towards Septimius.

Marcus barely missed his attack, and before he knew it the beast hit him in with an incredible amount of force from the back of its hand causing him to fall onto his back, dropping his sword. Marcus laid on the ground for a few moments, and let out a deep long sigh. His chipper attitude was gone now. He was happy to see Liss fighting, even if she was different. Time moved slowly as his eyes came into focus and he turned his head over to look at her running towards the alpha. She was different, Marcus was different, everyone was changing. Marcus turned his head to see Jessica and Gabriel fighting the enchantress. It looked like they were winning, which was good. Marcus laid there for what felt like forever, thinking about his experiences with the group. Time seemed to snap back rather quickly once he started coughing up, blood? It was a mix between red blood, and a shining golden substance. His head was pounding as he stood to his feet. Looking back at Liss, he nodded and smiled momentarily. She can handle herself, he thought, before grabbing his sword from the ground and charging the now frozen pile of timber.

With the enchantress' words, Desmond felt that something was terribly wrong but at this point he ignored his gut feelings and nodded to Ghan, who pointed for the whip. Gabriel looked to have incapacitated her so the duo had to act in the opportunity.

The stitched companion stood up and rammed his claw onto the woman's wrist that had the whip on hand, once he gets ahold of it, Ghan would pull the arm for his master to finish the attack. Desmond came in, slid behind the woman and sliced the ligaments at the back of her feet.

Marcus had tried to ruin her fight with the Alpha by jumping in however for that brief moment Liss saw an opening. The monster had turned his attention to Marcus as she ran at the wolf and placed her hand on its chest dragging it down to its wound. Looking up at him she tilted her head and pulled her hand off, revealing more powder on her hand. She wanted to watch him suffer. "C͟͝ó̡m͝e̵ ͏n̨ow҉̸ ͢A̷͜l̵p̢h̶͜͡a̶͡,͏̧ ̛Hi̶̢t̶̕ ́m̶͞͏e. ͞I ͏liḱ̢e̕ ̧́í͜t̸̶͜. " Snickering a moment she ripped open the already puss filled wound and flung the decaying flesh into the monsters face before trying to sneak behind its back.

As the enchantress moved more and more the whip began burrowing its way, entangling around her forearm. A moment or two later, a cracking noise and a sharp jolt of pain would shoot up her arm. Granted this was making Liss smile with demented excitement hearing the small crack, she ran her hand up the monsters back now, just delaying time. For right now.
