In basic we marched past another squadron's building, and there was a young female trainee at the bottom of the stairwell. She was on her back, upside down at the bottom of the stairs, one leg bent at a very awkward angle, and neck also bent at an odd angle. Obviously fell down the stairs, probably from pretty high up. Looked like she broke her neck, and probably one of her legs. She wasn't moving, and couldn't talk, and her cries/moans/whatever just came out as very chilling sounds I'd rather not hear again. One of the instructors was stood over her, yelling that thats what the handrail is for and whatnot, and our instructor just told us to keep our eyes in front and keep marching.
