Anyone heard Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly? It sounds like he's actually reaching his goal of "reviving" the state of hip-hop with plenty of Old-School and classic West Coast sounds with jazz/funk thrown in. Some are already arguing the album to be a classic.

King Kunta is one beauty of a G-Funk track, I recommend giving the whole thing a listen even if hip-hop isn't your thing.

This is everything I could ever want out of a song. The sax, her voice. This is Ego Wrappin. I'm in love.

I've been listening to a lot of psych/indie rock. I'd appreciate it if I got band suggestions in that genre.

Sixx AM? Nice! Have you heard Se7en, the acoustic album? The change is about on par with Sick Puppies' You're Going Down, and This is Gonna Hurt changes from a pretty solid battle-ish song to something much more somber, even remorseful.

Anyone else got a thing for heavy songs going all calm? Diary of Jane is another really good one

Both be containing that kind of chill effect, yet still being energetic at the same time.

Yeah I've heard Se7en. So Cold by Breaking Benjamin is much better acoustic, as is The Feel Good Drag by Anberlin.

And you can't forget about Hurt.

I've been digging. I found gold.

A thread of such magnitude buried. What a fucking shame.
