"The license plate number is 38BM581".
Veeran looked on at the unfolding sequences in horror. The man was not lying. There wasn't an ounce of treachery in his voice. They knew everything and Mick wasn't in the van. They knew we worked for Markose.
"Fucking Mick squealed on us. He told them we work for Markose."
They couldn't shoot their way out of this one.
"Jy, Victoria. Sit tight and keep monitoring them. No one here is actually thinking of trading Adrian for Mick. Lets find out how much they really love Adrian."
Veeran pulled out his phone and sent another text to the same number that would be intercepted by the bodyguards. He read out of the text for his team to hear.
"Dear brave chicklings. Looks like you don't have our dog with us. That doesn't bode well for your rooster. Your rooster is being plucked alive as we speak by a psychotic surgeon and a drunk butcher. Head to our dog's favourite restaurant and you should be able to stop them before they slit the rooster's through."
Veeran kept his hand over 'Send'.
"We can't fight it out of this one. There are half a dozen cars and perhaps more on the way. They will shoot us down to ribbons before we know it. Lets not forget Adrian is a PAC for the mayor. It doesn't matter how many cops we call, they'll all be after US for kidnapping and possibly murder. They are not going to go after these guys who wield influence with the town's leadership."
Veeran wiped another bead of sweat off his brow.
"I'm sending them this fake message. Telling them that Adrian is being held at a restaurant. If Mick told them everything, they'd know about Liston and Calvin, so I've made them sound a little more dangerous than they might be. I'm telling them that the restaurant is Mick's favourite. If these guys want Adrian back, they will scramble immediately to find Mick, so they can question him on the whereabouts of this restaurant. We follow them at a safe distance, and it gets us right to Mick. Hold your fire until they leave. All of you. Oh, and Mr. Roth. No more mercy, no more clemency. If we find Mick, we kill him."
Veeran pressed 'send'.
"Jy, contact Peter and Liston and update them. The HQ is no longer safe if Mick has squealed. Tell them to keep Adrian at Liston's apartment and find a new base."

OOC: I just wanna say if we lose this game, it was my fault and I'm really sorry about that, you don't usually get this opportunity on an intelligent game, and I've probably ruined it for everyone. I'm not expecting anyone to forgive me, I just don't wanna be that guy that ruins things for everyone and didn't apologize at all.

Them having the cops in their pocket didn't pass him and he frowned at his stupidity. He nodded even though Veeran couldn't see him and hung up, quickly finding Peter's contact on his list and placing the communicator back to his ear. "Peter, we're in trouble. Mick blabbed everything out so they know where HQ is now, stay where you are and find a new place to set up. We... ummm..." He was getting paranoid suddenly as he minced the words Veeran told him to say, he didn't know if his phone could possibly be tapped or anything, but then he thought about how Veeran said everything so he probably was safe too. "We're going to clean up this mess, well try to by getting rid of Mick. We'll call you later."

Quote from Captain Cook
Just keep in mind that if Mick gets interrogated you'll lose the fucking game.
OOC: Just seems a bit odd that there was nothing we could have done in the first place. We made Mick's captors turn right around, faster than should have even been possible, without them going to any place of interrogation. And yet Mick still got interrogated. If that guy is actually telling the truth and its most likely game over, we were boned no matter what we did and there was no way to win from the start.
Unless there's more we can do after losing, it's odd that we were forced to lose from the very beginning of an RP Cookie and the rest of us were so pumped for. (But I'm still loving this and if it isn't actually game over Ill keep rolling with it)

OOC: Honestly, I think the dude is bluffing and using reasonable guesses to figure out who we work for. A big bluff that's got everyone on edge quite easily.
That said, I don't have anything I can actually do, since CT is in the van waiting to drive somewhere since he doesn't really have any way of attacking.

ooc: Veeran can perception check the dude to see if he's lying, and he wasn't which is easily inferred by how Nish said he pm'd cook on facebook and then he posted that. I don't think we've lost yet, we just have to get them to bring us Mick, and maybe ask for some sort of heavy explosives to take these guys out. I mean, from the sounds of it if Mick did squeel then odds are only the people in the van he was put in know, so we really only have to kill a few of them and then fucking run. Regardless as soon as Mick shows his face that's gameover for him. The game can't end, Roth hasn't even swept Victoria off of her feet yet!
IC: "You don't have to tell me. I can't stand a fucking rat." Roth hadn't even gotten into position yet and shit was already popping off. The best thing to do now seemed to stall until they could off Mick and the rest of the people in the van that took him, and then book it. They probably didn't have to kill all of them, which was good because the odds would seriously be against the cripples.

OOC: Assuming Cook answered him, or the Perception Check worked. But hey, I'm simply offering alternative views; they'll either be proven or disproven when Cook posts the next part up.
Apr 19, 2015 11:07 AM #1350395
OOC: I perception checked him. I have MAXIMUM perception AND cat's eyes. According to what Cook replied, the guy wasn't lying and Mick is not in the van. I don't think we have any other choice but to assume he squealed (because they KNOW we work for Markose, which they couldn't have known otherwise) and they've stashed him somewhere else.

This is breaking the rules a little, but here's why Mick squealed.
He has max Selfish, Coward and Infidel. Nanite is a fucking retard for playing a character who's a complete coward, and going on a special op mission by himself. But whatever dood.
It's not going to be over, the mission as you know it is. Brb will edit with updates soon
Apr 19, 2015 5:56 PM #1350477
OOC: Cook, in that case you're also a retard for letting him play a character like that and ruining the fun of your own game, instead of making him change it, hahaha. This is just the first round and it has already turned into a clusterfuck for our characters. You're the one whos going to have to write Markose out of this mess.
Apr 19, 2015 6:41 PM #1350492
OOC: Jesus, with all those negative traits, just imagine what positive traits he stacked up for himself. Shame we're setting out to put a bullet in his head hahaha, or to blow that van up sky high. Man really hope it doesn't actually end this soon.
Apr 19, 2015 6:42 PM #1350494
I'm not going to play your characters for you. I warned him several times and he went with it, and I was fine. But he didn't know how to RP and put himself into a situation that completely violated his character.
I'm going to help you guys out, but at this point it's going to get dicey.
Don't actually think the game's over though. Even if the whole plan with Markose completely flops, the game will continue. The objective will no longer be helping Markose, it'll be just escaping what has happened.
The man looked down at his phone, and his features froze. Anxiously, he looked back up at the empty parking lot and raised his voice.
"Fuck, listen. We just want our guy back, alright? Don't fucking hurt him and you'll get your guy back, alright? I swear to fucking God we'll get your guy back, as long as you don't fuck our guy, alright? We'll bring your guy out and fucking trade, alright? Just give us our guy back."
The men around the lead guardsman fidgeted, clearly distraught.
"You fucking what."
"They know, Peter. Uh, they got Mick, and he just said everything, okay? We're about to trade, but--"
"What did he say."
"He said who we are and shit, you know?"
"Names?"
Jy paused.
"Yeah."
"Markose?"
"Yeah."
Peter didn't respond. Jy cleared his throat.
"We've got a plan, alright? We're going to trade over Adrian for Mick at a restaurant, alright?"
"Did you get the information out of Adrian?"
OOC: Let me know if you're tortured the information out of Adrian. If you have chosen not to, he'll remain unconscious.
"I don't know yet. But we'll do the trade, and just kill as many as we can, alright?"
"You'll have to kill everyone that knows, Jy. You know that, right?"
Jy bit his lip and looked into the distance. The guard said he knew about Markose, but never said how many others knew about the party's involvement with the candidate. As far as the guards cared, all they wanted was Adrian. They weren't concerned with the election, but losing a client meant their heads were on the line.
"Yeah, nobody will know. We'll clean this up."
"Clean everything up at the restaurant. Kill everyone."
There was a pause.
"You are not getting paid. You are no longer working for us. You clean up your loose ends and you show up at the office so we can get you taken care of."
"Taken care of?"
"Tickets off-planet."
Peter hung up.

OOC: Wow, I'm honestly shocked at people maxing out stats. Though, that said, I suppose it was to be expected. Some of the benefits were pretty nice, but having to balance in crazy negatives made me go "Nope, not worth it in the long run."
That all said, I'm honestly fine admitting I didn't max out jack shit.
Edit: Well shit son, guess Cal is gonna have to use those supplies of his after all.

OOC: Yes he must be some sort of fighter extraordinaire (but he said he isn't good at fight either.... wtf lol). I guess he could be some kind of mega-stealthy theif? But that also can't be, because he got caught while trying to sneak in haha.
I'm going to go on a slight rant, but I'm totally calm because I fucking love this game and they are observations and not criticisms. Basically this basically means that NOTHING we did in the last 5 days of the RP ever mattered. Because one guy (in a seperate storyline that we have no control over) ruined it for us. Cook knew all along that if Naninte went out on his own, he'd get caught. Cook knew all along that if Nanite got caught, he'd squeal. So basically we all just RPed without it mattering to the actual turn of events. It makes it doubly irritating that we had to wait this entire time to find out that the minute Nanite branched out on his own, we all got fucked anyway despite all our plans and efforts LOL. If that was going to be the case, we should all atleast been forced to tighten up our characters.
I mean think about it. If this was a Dungeons and Dragon's campaign called "The Lair Inside the Volcano", would ANYONE in their right minds pick an Ice Zombie as their hero? And would any DM allow it unless he was planning on making sure the Ice Zombie didn't fuck everyone else?
Rant over, but again I'm more amused than annoyed because this shit is still fucking heart-pumping fun lol
Apr 19, 2015 6:53 PM #1350501
Honestly I just left Nanite to walk on the roof and shit, but seeing as his character has an intelligence of 1, it made sense for him to make an incredibly stupid mistake.
It's not my job to pre-screen your characters. This is an actioney-thriller, and several of you are disabled. I'm not one to tell you how to make your character, it's your job.
Look, I'm going to help you guys out with your next set of decisions.
also, try and trick this guy. Remember, this is DnD, anything can happen.
