Their is no mod acountablity and half the people don't know what the blue writing means anyway. People with offensive names can't be censored and bans can be avoided easily (make a new account) This makes moderating rather pointless and I'm am shocked that the SP model has not be followed (thou I will say its far from perfect)

I will not make a thread about this but their needs to be a chief moderator who is unbiased and OUTSIDE of the game. not attached to clans doesn't post on SP and just handles disputes.

Im sure if we elected or CJ chose we would get a whz a skele a mystery thou we don't need those people (no offence to them i admire you all and your brilliant chat moderators) thats not transparent we need someone neutral to look over this.

Let me clear some things up. Mods were introduced in quite a rush last year in response to the abuse of the chat introduced also last year. Since then very minimal dev effort has directly impacted this game (they are working on other Stick Empires content). Thus I created a guide for bans in the original post on this thread and made this thread for ban appeals. We've had several successful ban appeals when mistakes or misunderstandings were made on this very thread.

People may not know what the blue writing means, but we can tell them and that's irrelevant to how much they spam the chat anyway. Yes names aren't censored but we can still ban accounts with those names. It will stop them typing in global chat at the least. Do you know of any clan I am in? I am in a clan but I do not think it affects my banning whatsoever. Also we had a mod who wasn't in a clan and didn't even play the game: Tecness2. I haven't seen him online for months. Modding is not fun, the modding system has several huge flaws (remember it was rushed in and since has had no further work). Mods mod between playing games. Sure it's not ideal but it means we have mods online. You will not find a mod who is active enough and also unattached to the game, the two don't go together.

You'll notice that almost half of people banned are banned for simple spamming - and for short durations. Mods primarily are keeping the chat free from pointless spam rather than issues like 1 year bans on supposed alts. Those are much rarer indeed.

Actually he can ban you without even a reason under the TOS and ingame chat could be a perfectly valid reason. If you say something really inappropriate in the in game chat I'd have reason to want to stop you saying anything in global. Likewise I've banned accounts for their name after seeing them in ranked.

Yes. It would have been a LOT clearer if you made that point explicit, stopped there and didn't try to have a go at Mystery for the last few pages. Anyway good that it's all sorted out now.

Lmao? Seems like you have a problem with misunderstanding things. First, Mods needs to be consistent about this matter. Some Mods are saying you can't be banned for things said in a game others are saying you can. Lol Ase even said both. Second, the TOS doesn't say anything about bans. TOS speaks of termination, not from the global chat but from the game itself, which Mods certainly don't have the power to do. The TOS aren't for petty in game arguments and disputes. They are for serious offenses that actually in some cases break the law. The reason you are made to agree to them before use of this game is so that either party can legally come after the other if they are broken. Lastly, the worse things I've called someone is a noob. Stop blowing it out of proportion.

The points were made very clear from the beginning. Everyone else who posted on this subject knew exactly what it was about. You're the only one who couldn't grasp it. It's not that I was "going at" Mystery, I was making my case and defending myself against the numerous lies he said about me. If I wouldn't have, many of the mods and players would have been deceived by Mystery, just like you were.

Judging by your misunderstanding about the whole situation, I assume you didn't even look into it. Guessing you barely read anything at all.

Ahem I am right here. Logged the most mod time out of the admin bunch. I have no problem watching the chat over Playing. Just note after 6 hours of watching a chat and losing brain cells I take breaks. lol.
