when I think of 'songs of our generation' I think of stuff like Seven Nation Army, Float On, Time to Pretend, Sail, stuff like that.
the songs you listed probably weren't seen as definitive classics when they were first released. it's the stuff that stands the test of time that becomes 'classic' so it's hard to predict how modern music will be seen years down the line.
